Other than that - having cleaned many an oven, even from cleaning up vacated Housing Commission 'bombs' - where deros n' junkies live in absolute filth squalor.
My best trick is to 'electrolysis' the oven for an hour so everything just blows away and wipes away. Wink

The only thing I prefer oven over weber is chicken, but that's because I use the Heston method.

Brine over night
90c for 4 hours
take out of oven and rest for 45mins
turn oven up to full, baste with melted butter and bake until brown.

BTW, do you have a Pyrolytic oven?

daughter is on the point of having one installed all she talks about is pushing the cleaning button... Grin

agnes you do know if you turn your oven on full blast hot as possible maybe half an hour.. it also burns off the baked on....

hahahaha.. time for a new stove.....I hate mine to be honest...its only about 4 years old but the timer is all over the place and I cant fix it it switches itself on and off drives me mad.....so when I get around to it I am replacing it...grrrrrrrrr

did you try the Selleys?... it is much quickers.

I think yes it is- but will have a look around at new ovens and see what I can find- its such a shiiit of a job- do they have self cleaning BBs

BBs do not need cleaning, like BBCs they just keep on giving the juices they have collected onto the next piece of cow that's thrown onto them. Yes, it sounds dirty and they are but the heat kills the germs. But I'm told the positive of it is once you go black you never go back. Sounds dirty to me. My wife's oven doesn't self clean anymore. In fact it needs wood to fire it up but it's all in vain anyway, there's no way a bun can be cooked in it. She seems happy with that though. She hated the self cleaning cycle.

I did mean BBQ of course but you ran with it any way lol- its cooled down by many degrees today- last go at it if I fail this time stuff it all- Xmas dinner will be a box of crackers an a block and cheese- tempted to do that anyway tbh
