What's the fallacy??
Dec 1st, 2018 at 5:50pm

In statements like;

I am absolutely certain the future is uncertain.

It's absolutely true that there is no absolute truth.

The universe could have been created 1 second ago and with a built in history billions of years old.

If you think about no thoughts are you thinking about something.

Is there an infinite number of points between 0 and 1cm on a ruler 1cm long.

Is there a fact that can make another fact wrong.

Etc

Do these questions come under a topic I can study, I feel they are all the same question in different disguises.

These points are word games.

I think Wittgenstein said something to the effect, "The object of philosophy is to protect the truth from language."

It's just duality.

Middle-East Religion says "We come in peace" via the poor majority
Middle-East Military says "Shoot to kill" via the rich minority

There are 8 races of the world
There are 8 regions of the world
...little wonder there are 8 right answers to a problem too  Wink

But how is the fallacy exposed?

This is also a scientific question.
The current theory is that space is "granular". At the quantum level it is made up of tiny divisions called the "planck length"

Pure speculation, barely even science.

Sure it is speculative, but it is most definitely science.
It is an extension of quantum physics which is used to describe the behavior of elementary particles such as protons, neutrons and electrons.

It's unfalsifiable therefore no different to making a supernatural claim and even worse an experiment can't even be designed in theory to test it, not now or in the future.

Really it's just a bunch of fancy mathematics.

A point is made up crap just like the concept of infinity: dope might be fun but it is not a smart drug lol!
