Don't be so 'Frank'ish.
Europe had to travel in one direction for a period,
now it has to travel in another.
Get over it.
To consider Europe as 'Western' is a bit rich.
Europe was Celtic (West), Scandi (North), Latin (South) and Slavic (East).
The Western Europeans seem to have mostly F-orffed to North America... further West.

In regards to relinquishing Religion back to the Middle-East.
Well Germany has done its bit.
Next it is France's turn.
Then its Italy
and finally Britain.
All 4-points of the Cross.

So, to be FRANK.
It's France's turn and Europe must make that adjustment.
The 'wheel' turns yet again.

To hold onto 'old' ways - means being left behind.
Europe had to change to accommodate Germany's failure to live up to the USA standard, but succeeded in becoming a higher 'European' standard.

Now its France's turn.
Can it survive the ...change.

Politics (& Military & Religion) are becoming 'defunct' in Europe. Germany showed it, when it stood up for such during Nazism.
Next it will be France's turn, followed by Italy and then finally Britain itself.

Politics in Europe is best left in the hands of women.

And that's why Music is doing better in Europe than Politics will ever do.
