And with lost balls, sand traps, water hazards and such, achieving 200 is quite possible


Honestly though
I do enjoy golf greatly
I aim to par or at least bogey every hole, double bogey are quite frequent though.

My drives are generally ok, my putting let's me down.

Never. Got a hole in one, missed out by 12 inches once, thought all my Christmases had come at once. Got too excited and only pared the damn thing.

Had a few birdies, never close to an albatross, chipped from a bunker into the hole once, couldn't find the damn ball, until I looked in the hole.
NO one around to boast to, bummer.

Golf is great, but I'm not dedicated enough to be any good.

On my worst day, and trust me I've had some doozies,  I have never reached 14.
I think I would have lost it by then and just gone home for the day.

My record for lost balls is 6 in a game
In Newcastle there is a course that has cross that pinch balls.
I was sure the damn thing was on the green, it was until the crow stole it.

But it's still all fun
