First Sabbath album - 1970

First Jeff Beck album - 1968

Sure - the seed packet was definitely present in the Yardbirds.

I don't hate the debate, though.

It's good to reflect on those old albums, and bands.

I'm a huge Jeff Beck fan though, so I'm always gonna give him as much credit as I can.

Hammer could be right - it might be Sabbath - or, it could be Zeppelin.

Either way, it's all a good excuse for listening to those old albums again.

Heavy Metal seemed a bit rusty after Metallica went commercial with it.
I moved to Industrial Rock and Goth as the true essence of European Music.
Goth was dependent of the 'past' of Europe as much as Heavy Metal was with legends of Valhalla and other 'cultural' references to the past.
Industrial Rock was living in the present though and was a musical style that reflected the modern current Europe of the time.

The roots of heavy metal are found in Led Zep:

and super heavy here but the original was from the Yardbirds:
