Why we keep the Union Jack
Nov 21st, 2018 at 3:28am

Australia: Percival
USA: Lancelot

Now some Americans like Capitosonora, AiA & Mortdooley don't understand why we still have the Union Jack on our Flag.
And why we don't all go out and buy guns to get rid of the British influence here and remove the Union Jack from our Flag.

Well my dear Americans, who are 'up there' in the Northern Hemisphere, but also - 'back there' at the End of the World.
It kinda goes something like this...

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=excalibur+-+percival+rand+lancelot&&view=de...

So, as you can see - there's a bigger picture than what just happens in the USA.

"Why" is a fair question. Qualifying it with "still" assumes some kind of term limit that doesn't exist. The answer as to why, is that it represents the origin of the Commonwealth, and most Australians are happy with that.

Because (some) Australians are too frightened to cut the apron strings.

Because a picture of an Australian leader kissing a British royal's anus could have been provocative.

Surely we're a smart enough country to design something that pays homage to our British roots, acknowledges our first nation people and welcomes all future immigrants.

Is that too hard?

All well and good, but what about the soldiers who fought for, and under, our mighty flag?

If we change our flag then everyone all around the world who has our flag will have to change it, we should not impose this trivial bullshit on the rest of the world because of a few butthurt lefties who don't like our flag.

Lots of Australian flags in the north of France where they have flown on Town halls since WW1 out of respect to the diggers who liberated those cities from the Germans, many shops in France have our flag painted on their windows.

The flag is not a fashion item if you don't like it then bad luck

In the USA - they rejected the idea of serving the British, and decided to serve the JEWS instead.

You tell me? Who is the real 'Political' entity - the British or the Jews (Israel)?

Remember the story of Jesus on the Hill (Being crucified on the cross) with two Thieves either side of him (being crucified as well)?
One accepted 'God' through Jesus, the other rejected 'God' through Jesus.
Can you tell which one is Australia and which one is the USA?
...Jesus being the 'Union Jack' of Britain  Wink

There are two Histories in Australia: Aboriginal & British.
The concept of there being an 'Australian' one to justify any stance of Independence is a colonialistic Americanisation and a FALSE corruption of our British/Aboriginal history.

There is only a British/Aboriginal - past.
(Not an Australian one)
But there is an 'Australian' - FUTURE
...there in lies the lie of the Americanised 'colonial' past version.

The Flag on our Flag symbolises our 'service' to the International arena.

With the British Union Jack representing a 'Political' nation - our Flag shows the recognition of that nation's POLITICAL involvement here.

Flags are a Political work of Art. Always have been, besides Battle Standards (Military).

If we had a Flag representing Switzerland's Medical involvement here...
If we had a Flag representing other nations and their involvements here...

We could have a Flag with a large circle of little Flags representing all the Nations that have made an 'involvement' here...

Such is the 'multi' of culturalism here.
Like I said - there is no official 'Australian' past beyond a British one (since 1788), an Aboriginal one (since like 50,000yrs ago) and an Americanised Colonial one (Man of Snowy River, Drizabone and other 'cliche' Down Under stuff).

We celebrate Australia Day as a celebration of a 'Past' event.

One day, we may have a Flag representing a 'Domestic' culture and a culture that belongs to the 'Future'

...but that's why we are here: To Conquer 'Time'.
Just like N.america was a conquest of 'Space' - by them sailing off the edge of the world.

We are here to conquer 'Time' ...and like doing 'time' for our Convictions, we may indeed be FREE from the PAST.

...only time will tell
. Wink

You see. There is no 'future' for Politics here.
It will always be 'shackled' to the (British/American colonial) PAST.

The true Future of this Country will be via ART.
...and that's what the world is waiting for.

An
INDEPENDENT ARTISTIC NATION.
