The NBN can far cough.  What I have now works.  I don't need or want the NBN but I fear it will be forced on to me soon enough.  The only upside is that the node is not too far away from me.

TBH, I've not had an issue with mine.

So far...

No probs with mine, either.
Signed up for 400 GB @ 25Mbps and have been upgraded to unlimited @ 50Mbps at no extra cost.
Not complaining.
running 3 PCs, 3 Mob Phones and 2 Fetch/Netflix.....
Only problems I've had lately were with FB... Cheesy

Several weeks ago, I called my mobile and NBN provider Internode to upgrade my mobile data package. While on the phone, they had a quick check regarding NBN packages that were available. They regretted to inform me that the 25 Mbps package I was on was no longer a valid product. Instead, they upgraded me to their 50 Mbps package with the same amount of data free of charge!

I've been with Internode for years and the only time I've called them was to enquire about their products or change the package I was on. When I change a product, that's the last I ever hear of it. Most people I know who stick with Telstra can still be calling them months after changing a product because they're still getting double billed.

Well, I'm getting about 10 X better speeds than when I was on ADSL for the same money, so I'm pretty happy.

I would have preferred FTTH to have been supported fully, and it will eventually have to happen because of the "copper rot" throughout the pits all across this nation.

On the other hand, if I had had to wait for FTTH ... I would still be waiting for some years to come.

So the "hybrid" tech that Turnbull pushed has been of benefit to me in the short to medium term.

Well what else would you expect ?

After all the NeverBuiltNetwotk IS a Labor invention which was unplanned, undesigned, unfunded, and unbuilt.

If Labor+Greenies ever gets in they will dig up some $200 billion by borrowing and install fiber optic cable to everywhere and create their Socialist Spying Network that they originally intended to create.
