Why Indonesian & Malaysian more sane than Arab muz

If you ever travelled around majority Muslims in Indonesia and Malaysia you never have to worry about seeing public atrocities on their own people or risk becoming a victim yourself. Just friendly, generous, kind, decent, conservative people. Travel Tip; don't traffic drugs.

I think its to do with history. In ancient times, both Empires from China and India were not terribly expansive. They have their history of blood shed and conquest, but mainly around their own territory.

The sands of middle east is a whole different matter. its where the north meets the south, the east meets the west. There, you have more aggressive Empires like the spartans, the athenians from ancient times, to rome, to persian empires. Then you have a variety of religions, the crusader wars. The whole place is riddled with conflict for thousands of years, its where Empires rise and fall. To survive those, you have to be a bit aggressive and cruel, especially in an environment with very limited resources (before industrial revolution).

The climate and temperature used to be a bit different. But, the place is ancient, its the cradle of civilization. Earliest known written language started there. And due to its occasion, its a very important route for supplies for Empires who wants to expand their influence. A good case study would be Alexander the Great.

The reason is very evident. Indonesia and Malaysia are democracies and are not subject to autocratic rule where the autocrat uses religion to control the people.

In Pakistan's case, the governments of Pakistan are desperate for Saudi money and allowed the Saudis to control the practice of Islam in Pakistan.

Muslims kill more of their own and evidently when Muslims are governed under western democratic values they are not insane murderers.
