Democracy doesn’t die in darkness. It dies in the glare of lefty media, lefty money and lefty power which strip away local issues and local agency in Arizona, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Florida. Big blue state donors bought the midterm elections to send a message to President Trump. Many had been convinced by frenzied media hit pieces in papers like the Washington Post that action was desperately urgent.
What a poorly written, pro-Putin hit piece.
Democracy died a long, long time ago, you brain dead Texuun. American seems to love it police state infrastructure—the Patriot Act, the Northern Command, the Homeland Security Department, mass surveillance, Guantanamo, indefinite detention, drone assassinations—has been carried out under conditions of unending war and the supposed requirements of the 'global war on terror'." All of which were GOP ideas and expanded on by Obama. With that said, it amazes me how your right-wing asshats refuse to talk of the proverbial elephant in the room -- the 9/11 terrorist events -- that were the excuse not only for the ongoing police state developments, but also for the "War on Terror" itself, that has been a key pillar of the transition from a somewhat open society to an authoritarian state. Oh, and if you want to talk of wasted money, it's worth noting that the massive
multi-trillion dollar cost of the round of wars the U.S. initiated since 9/11 used up all the resources that could have been used, even under capitalism, to address the crumbling U.S. physical and social infrastructure that again, you right wingers are constantly bitching about.
Seems you love America's increasing institute of a escalating harsh internal police state that does its best to suppress domestic unrest and political mobilization by working people.

The Democrats have waged an undemocratic war on democracy in the name of democracy. The midterms were the latest leftist coup against democracy. And democracy lost to the Left.
Have they now? The Right was pontificating this crap before back when the Democrats continue to insist that Ralph Nader somehow "stole" the election from Gore because he dared to exercise his right to run for political office by giving people a choice when he challenged both corporate, war-making political parties; the Democrats, to their eternal shame, made sure that Nader's name did not appear in ballots in 37 states across the country. Now it also should be reiterated that the 2000 election results is attributed to voter suppression, the ludicrous Butterfly Ballots, the rigged Diebold Voting Machines, and ultimately SCOTUS - largely controlled by the Rethuglicon party to ensure Bush would become President. It is clear in retrospect, that the neoconservative cabal Project for a New American Century (PNAC) was determined to achieve power to carryout their imperialist agenda. This resulted in the endless wars in the Middle East yielding death, destruction, and genocide - all Rethuglicon ideals.
Both (corporate owned) parties have done their best in undermining democratic norms. Democracy is dead in America, that I can agree with. Your stupid piss-poor written hit piece fails.
Stay stupid, morty torty. It's what a Texuun does best.
