Nigel Scullion's money troubles
Nov 15th, 2018 at 4:42pm

Nigel Scullion gave Indigenous funding to his former fishing lobby group to fight land claims

Indigenous groups call for investigation into Scullion fund stoush

Minister offered $460,000 Indigenous funding to groups that did not ask for it

If this government had any integrity left at all, Morrison should ask for Scullion's resignation, or Scullion should resign. Shorten would be well justified to put pressure on this government to act by threatening a Royal Commission or two when Labor wins the next election. This government's corruption is out of control and it must be stopped.

There has been a been a pattern of opposition to Aboriginal affairs by the Liberal and National Governments....Land rights have always been a sticking point for farmers, fishers and hunters....The coalition have used money to advance aboriginal people to do exactly the opposite....This Government cannot possible get any worse???

Huh Huh Huh

I was working for an Indigenous corporation in WA.

They managed to scam $880K from the Feds to build a "Grow House" on a remote site.

I resigned from the project when I saw that the end game for the scammers (white people not the Indigenous people) was to have their photos taken when the unit was build,,, no plan whatsoever to make it work.

You cant help but get a lot jaded by the bullshit that goes on.

Nigel Scullion awards Indigenous grant money to CLP president's employer
Quote:
Key points:
* North Australian Remote Management Consultants received more than $1.4 million of Indigenous grant funding
* The company was founded by a longstanding CLP member and employs its current president
* NARMCO "supporting regional and remote people", company says

Scullion's position is untenable. He must resign over this blatant corruption.

These examples of misappropriation of funds by Scullion are a lot worse. They have nothing to do whatsoever with the stated purpose of the grant money, but are being used by Scullion as a personal slush fund. He should resign.

This is just one of many reasons why the Coalition don't want a National Integrity Commission or a Federal ICAC. They have too many serious questions to answer about their integrity in government and it's going to take a Federal ICAC or a Royal Commission to uncover it all.

I know I had a conversation with an indigenous person and they could not understand why their money was being invested in highly unviable ventures out in the bush.
They said we would be better off buying factory units in the city like the white fellows do.
