Why is he, in your opinion, a dick?

Well, for starters, this bus campaign is all fake - he's not your average Joe Blow.

Secondly, he belongs to a cult.

Thirdly, he's a Liberal Party member.

Fourth: his treatment of asylum seekers.

etc.

I think Morrison's election chances were always going to be doomed from the start. The best thing he could realistically do for his party would be to simply accept that he is an effective caretaker PM who is there only to save some furniture. He then might conceivably have enough credibility and political capital to retain the leadership in opposition and have another crack next election.

But of course not many ambitious politicians who are gifted with the top job are going to settle for this. They have to believe they can win. So Morrison has gone for broke. And with such a short period available to him, he really has no choice but to go full steam ahead, full campaign mode non-stop until the election. Morrison's problem though is that he seems to consider himself as some sort of marketing genius, and that the polls can be turned around simply by bombarding the public with a constant stream of gimmicks and stunts without any sort of substance. For him its all about the image - thus the blokey bloke, fair dinkum daggy dad, who is definitely NOT part of the Canberra bubble routine. The problem with this should be obvious - it is so transparently fake and cynically geared towards creating a quick fix for the polls.

Presumably Morrison must have factored in the possibility that his "in your face" crass personality politics would make the situation worse not better. And as this appears to be the case (according to latest polling), it will be interesting what he does now. Does he have a plan B? Will he be amenable to the idea that it would actually be better to shut up and take the focus away from him? Is he capable of thinking in terms of "how can I make this less worse?" rather than "I can still totally win this"? Or is he really that far in denial?

You seriously need to have the stark contrast between the two explained to you?

Here I'll spell it out for you cods: "Shortarse" and his very united party, have a clear, well thought out and eminently sensible set of policy platforms. Unlike "look at me" Morrison, Shorten has been spending all his time promoting and carefully explaining his well thought out policies and not giving a fig about his personal image. Contrast this with this rabble of a government who literally have no policies to talk about, nor any kind of economic vision they can present to the Australian people. They instead to nothing but talk about themselves and engage in crass and vacuous scare campaigns against Shorten - without ever presenting anything remotely credible as alternatives.

The Polly Waffle VIRUS strikes again or rather nails again with more Fake News.

ScoMo is knocking 'em dead as he slowly slices up political poison Shorty with his ridiculous unfunded renamed Greeny junk "policies".

IN the mean time ScoMo's election success builds as the economy flourishes and unemployment falls.

Shorty's RESTART the BOATS policy looks a bit sick after one of Labor's illegal invaders went berserk down in Melbourne.

What will Labor's next scandal be ?

The latest Newspoll is showing that Morrison's desperate tactic isn't working.
