Without going into definitions, and degrees, I think it depends on whether you might be harmful to the people around you.

Everyone has their own crazy side.

There are many levels and interpretations of 'crazy'.

The best way to sift through it all is to remember that
anyone who intends 'harm/violence/malice/etc' to themselves, others, to environment, etc - is REALLY crazy in the mind... unfit to think rationally, reasonably and is expressed in erratic, contradictory and abusive behaviour.

The other 'polite' crazy is just acting silly, an adult taking time out to have fun with the kids, falling in love, etc.

Many 'nations' are the above 'crazy'.
Nations are like people. Some have really lost the plot and intend harm to others and themselves.
War & Suicide are sure signs of 'crazy'.

Many people experience the double-helix effect.
Where they are highly sane/enlightened about one aspect of their life, but are crazy/insane in regards to another.

Scott of the Antarctic was sane in regards to his marriage.
But insane in regards to the expedition on the frozen continent.
Admundsen was the reverse.

Just because someone is intelligent enough to fly a 747
doesn't mean they can't be 'crazy' in the head to fly it into a hospital.

Mental 'crazy' is like someone having the equivalent of a broken leg in the mind.

Of course, the obvious and most common form of 'crazy' - is 'substance abuse'.

It is the 3rd book after Judaism & Christianity.
It would be 'mentally' weaker - but its followers are physically stronger: they sure out-breed the first two, especially the first - considerably.
Jews could only oust Moslems by 'technological means' - not by numbers.

Judaism: The Oldest Book - all about 'Youth'.
Christianity: The Mid-Aged Book - all about 'Adulthood'.
Mohommedism: The Youngest Book - all about 'Old Age'.

Real Religious people 'convert' through all three books and follow the process.
The inability for 99.9% of them to convert through the process shows an inability to 'grow' properly and results in violence.

For a boy to become a man and to become an old man.
It's something 99.9% of them can not comprehend and it shows in all three of the followings.
