In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

Let me help translate.  Merkle leads a centre right party.  Even though, its policy is not that much dissimilar to the Liberal government of Australia, she famously refused to open fire on the Syrian refugees as many of our 'far right' friends wanted.  And therefore, in their eyes, anyone who do not conform to their views on how to treat refugees is deemed a 'socialist', a 'leftist', a 'traitor' or any combination of the three.   Smiley

No, socialist in reality

Joseph Goebbels studied socialism and in the end rejected the Soviet universal style socialism of the USSR

Hitler also rejected that style of socialism which gave Goebbels reason to join Hitler in his quest for national socialism. They both supported it

It's doubtful they would have joined together if they had different views on which type of socialism they both wanted for Germany

There is a great difference.  Patriotism is the love on one's country in face of adversity and danger.   To resist enemy of state, and not give in to the principal that we hold.

We build our society on fairness, and equality regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation.  Our governance is democracy, with separation of religion and state.

After the Bourke street attack, there are some of people here, want to retaliate through some form of mob justice, they also want to send the families of the perpertrators back even though they may well be Australian citizens and innocent.

And anyone who disagree with that, they call them traitors.  And they justify their own opinion as 'patriotism.'.  Some even take quotes from bibles and Koran!

In reality is that instead of being brave, to hold on to the basic principals of human right and natural justices - things that our forefathers had fought and died for.  They just give everything up to the terrorist's goal.   That is not patriotism.

National socialism is pretty much against both liberal democracy and the parliamentary system.   At the same time, it tried to come up with a new concept of control other than capitalism and communism.

At the very basic, all control ideologies is about struggles.  Both Capitalism and communism sees this struggle (as it had been for as long as the written history).  Capitalism tried to resolve this via trickle down economics, as in if the rich get richer, then, it would invest and therefore benefit the lower society.  Investment is therefore encouraged, and such system works in an environment of limited resources.   Communism sees the struggle, and believe that class struggle inevitable.  And that in order to achieve peace, the state should control everything, and that everyone supposed to have a fair share.  This system of course, does not work well at the end.

With national socialism, Hitler wanted something different.  So instead of class struggle, he used the idealogy of race struggle (which had been used in the past a lot of times).  Of course, the race that he belong to, and most of his countryman belong to are the 'master' race.   And their goal is to retake back the German land that they lost, and expand into other lands for benefit of this master race.   And because this goal is so divine, every German citizen of Aryan race to subordinate their personal interests to the "common good".   In order to facilitate that, they singled out Jews and communists for the population, still recovering from their previous WW1 loss, and wants an quick answer.

The Jews were the perfect scapegoats.  They were seen as relatively rich, non Aryan, and many believed that German lost WW1 because of them.   And for Hitler, they are perfect as well, since the Jewish population do hold enormous amounts of wealth.  And with the economy in dire situation, he needed cash and need them fast.   And hence the speed of the 'final solution'.
