Another Labor SCANDAL
Nov 8th, 2018 at 2:15pm

Luke Foley is on the edge of going the news reckons.

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/i-want-it-to-stop-abc-reporter-alleges-luke-foley-in...

...
Shorty ducking for cover and sweeps it all under the carpet.

...
Luke Foley allegations detailed in statement from ABC journalist Ashleigh Raper

Is this a sign that the ABC Socialist Propaganda Station has turned the corner ?

it was only yesterday that Labor and the Greenies could do no wrong in the ABC's eyes.

Is it a Labor+Union plot to unseat Foley ? Are they doing a Turnbull ?

The media are camped outside NSW parliament House just waiting and waiting...

Idiot Foley. Please resign now, forthwith. Don't drag this out any longer.

Gandy,

Foley is an outstanding member of the scandal ridden Labor Party. He upholds Labor tradition.

Shorty expressed his admiration for him by refusing to say anything.

He's resigned.

This may not be good for Berealphabet because the new Labor leader will still be relatively new when the NSW goes to an election.

Poor Stunned is upset.

The delay is explained quite easily.

Up till now Labor was going to squash it all as they wanted Foley to stay and lose the NSW election.

But in the Labor dunghills things changed and they decided to ditch Foley and so they dug up the old XMAS Party issue.

Mebbe the Labor goons got wind that the Libs were going to publicize it as the election approached to sink Foley.

Maybe ScoMo should raise a similar issue with Silly Billy. But then Silly Billy is election loss personified.

Ah well just another ripple in Labor's vast cesspool of corruption.

Geez he must have been pissed to touch her up....My only question is why did the journo wait until just before an election to make these allegations....No doubt those who defended Barnaby Joyce over similar allegations will also defend Luke Foley???

Huh Huh Huh

I don't like Foley one bit. He's an idiot and a hypocrite. But while this would've dogged both himself and the ALP in the NSW election campaign, isn't he innocent until proven guilty? I'm not saying the ABC reporter making the allegations is lying, but there has been no proof offered so far. Just saying.

philly, this question has been answered to death on 2GB.

She was a journo interviewing pollies. If she had squawked she would have become like Labor in Wentworth - despised and shunned.

So she kept a low profile to keep her job.

But the details of the act leaked out when Liberal MP David Elliot raised the incident in Parliament last month and the Libs were going to use it to sink Foley at the election.

So Labor had to get rid of Foley..

Now the poor journo could lose her job at the ABC, where normally ANYTHING Labor or the Greenies do is seen as politically correct, because now pollies might avoid her like the plague.

Sounds like Labor has already lost the NSW election.

ABC journalist Ashleigh Raper said she did not want to make the statement

Foley subsequently resigned, but said he intended to "clear his name"

ABC understands Labor MPs backing Michael Daley to replace him

Now it looks as tho NSW Labor did a Malcolm on Foley and Michael Daley is poised to lose the NSW election instead.

Wow the fallout in the Fed Labor Party will be massive especially after Shorty defended him by saying nothing and trying to sweep it all under the carpet.

Rumor has it that the journo is now working for Rupert.

Wonder how Foley will try to defend his actions when there was a witness ?

Labor attracts scandals like honey attracts bees.

In her statement she said Foley had called her up last week to apologise and also promised to resign the following week. Then he called again to say he had "legal advise" that he shouldn't resign (God knows why). Thats a pretty devastating slap in the face I'd say, for someone who allegedly went through what she did. And thats probably why she spoke out now.

Basically like the vast majority of sexual harassment victims, she just wanted this to go away, and had resisted speaking up. Perfectly understandable. Usually only after they are severely provoked, like she allegedly was here, do they feel compelled to speak out. But rest assured its not something they enjoy doing. Being at the centre of a high profile sexual harassment scandal would be about the most stressful and humiliating thing I can think a women could go through.

Sure - in addition to telling Ms Raper prior to that that he decided to renege on his promise to resign.

It meant that the controversy surrounding the premier-in-waiting would only intensify as the election campaign ramped up. And as such the interest and attention on poor Ms Raper would just get worse and worse. She thought this was going to be avoided - when Foley made that promise to her. To see him suddenly renege on that promise must have been devastating for her, and its very clear she felt she had not choice but to let it out now - rather than having to endure months of hell.

Nice to see a bit of Labor scandal for a change to allow those people so embarrassed of being part of the Liberal fraternity a chance to post again.    Good to see you back.   Foley has fallen on his sword so there is obviously something there     Perhaps he should join the chair sniffing, car crashing, wife cheating ex Liberal Treasurer of WA and start a new party - it will be right wing biased as there are so many of them.     The soon to be thrown out of Victorian Liberal Party Leader party Matthew Guy can host them at the "Lobster Cave" for a Mafia night

That's almost as good as Julie Bishop and her constant mantra of "   I fully support (insert name of current leader here) as leader of the Liberal Party and he has my undying devotion and constant endorsement"

The real issue is ...... a culture that allowed this to be kept quiet for so long.

Why did the woman not feel it right to speak up right away?
What is going on in Australia where you dont speak up for fear of retribution.

Once again the whole acceptability of being pissed while working has not been mentioned.
Would this have happened without alcohol?

It disgusts me that alcohol will be used as a mitigating circumstance.

That is an extremely foul and disgraceful accusation. Nothing's been proven. Nobody's alleging that Foley has engaged in sexual penetration of this journalist, so for you to be calling him a "rapist" is crossing the line and you should apologise and piss off.

You won't, of course. Rightards never do.

Oh, it's a witness that will convince you, is it?

"Tiffany Doe, a witness, was an employee of Defendant Epstein:

"I personally witnessed the Plaintiff (Jane Doe ) being forced to perform various sexual acts with Donald J. Trump and Mr. Epstein.

Both Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein were advised that she was 13 years old."

Obviously I don't know if he is innocent or guilty of this. I have to say it seems strange to me that she stood there and just copped the feel. In my experience this type of thing gets a swift and decisive reaction, this isn't a scared little girl making these claims.

Hmm...well by resigning Labor stemmed of this incident.  However given the role Liberal MP Elliot had over this, not being apologetic and unpunished, voter backlash on libs will likely be higher than on labs.

I don't get why Labor didn't push Foley out a long time ago once this became common knowledge. It was always going to be political suicide as soon as it became public.
