I did answer, you just can't comprehend what the joy and happiness of life is.

Your answer makes no sense, as only a person who is born can experience joy and happiness.

If women stop having children, people aren't born.

This is a simple fact.

So, what's the problem with the human race eventually becoming extinct?

What the heck is wrong with being childless?

Spot

If everyone did it the species would go extinct, theres that.

Everyone doesnt do it though do they

Spot

No such claim was made.

I asked whats wrong with being childless and you replied that if everyone did it the species would go extinct - as if that was an answer to my question. That is making a claim - unless you want to answer the question again?

Spot

I'm still trying to figure out what the problem is.

The human species becomes extinct - so what?

Surely the planet, and the animals, will be better off.

I just don't see an issue.

I hate to say it

But for once I agree with you.

It would be better for the world and quite possibly the u diverse if humans became extinct.

I disagree, we may be the only life form in the universe and look how far we have come from a single cell organism, we have space ships that have left our solar system. If we can stick around long enough we may be able to send organisms to other inhabitable planets ensuring life has a chance elsewhere otherwise the universe may become lifeless forever.

And why is that a problem?

xeej?

Some people enjoy life, you wouldn't understand.

We're not talking about everyone being killed by some plague, or major catastrophe, or anything like that.

We're discussing the prospect of women never having children, which would ultimately result in the human race becoming extinct.

My question is, why would that be a bad thing?

Nobody seems to have a sensible answer.

And, why would it be a bad thing if there was no life anywhere in the universe - ever?

You clearly never experienced the joy and happiness life Bri gs.

You have to be born in order to experience joy and happiness.

You have to actually exist.

So, if women stopped having babies (thus the babies don't exist), and the human race became extinct, where's the problem?

You still haven't come up with an answer.

Only so much time to waste, you reached your quota.

Perhaps I asked you the wrong question.

So, let's back it up.

Spot said: "What the heck is wrong with being childless?"

You said: "If everyone did it the species would go extinct, theres that".

And, you are (pardon the pun) spot on.

My question is, would that be a bad thing?

As I said, many that exist feel having existence is the greatest possible gift. Sure if you never exist in the first place you can't lament non existing, sure. But once you exist it makes your point moot.

you personally may not have experienced any joy to make this self evident and may well be suffering so much that non existence may have been less cruel.

Also religious folk have a whole other purpose for existing than secular folk.

Non existence = 0

Maximum suffering < existence. < Maximum joy

Make out of it  what you can or will of the second equation.

I have written you off as a troll but am only responding on the small chance you are legit in this case.

Complex topic wouldn't bother to expand with one whiff of trolling so be careful how you respond if you want a conversation.

I highly doubt Merkel will retire anywhere near Muslim neighbourhoods.

She will have the means to escape the mess she alone created and others will have to suffer with for generations.

Yes.

And we're not talking about anything happening prematurely to those people.

They will continue to live out their lives as normal.

We're discussing the prospect of no more people being born, and thus the human race becoming extinct.

Would that be a bad thing?

Was the question too difficult?

Would it be a bad thing if the human race eventually became extinct?

You brought the subject up in the first place.

So ... ?
