The petition has now hit 240,000 and climbing

Gladys Berejiklian and that creative vandal Alan Jones, can consider themselves 'black flagged'

Alan Jones has already come out with one of his grumbling half arsed apologies

Too late ..to use a pun 'your horse has bolted'

Berejiklian can now sit back and consider how much damage she has done to her Liberal Party..and that is plenty

Facebook is alive with calls for a public protest tonight, when their sh.tty add is stuck on the Opera House. This has a life of its own now

And the momentum will now carry forward with Berejiklian is wearing an increasingly wobbly crown

Labor has drawn level with them in the straw polls

This could be a killer blow for the Libs

An Independent NSW MP wants to change state laws governing the Sydney Opera House to remove the power of the government to override management decisions.

Currently, the Opera House is managed by a trust and executive team but any decision it makes can be overruled by the government, according to Mr Greenwich.

Member for Sydney Alex Greenwich on Tuesday said he would move a motion in parliament to amend the Sydney Opera House Trust Act to "[i]stop the culture of a minister picking up the phone on behalf of his mates in the racing industry and telling the Opera House what to do".

"Sydney is not Las Vegas, and our cultural icons should not be used to help the racing industry make a profit from problem gambling," Mr Greenwich told reporters in Sydney.
"I'm deeply concerned by the political pressure that is being applied to the Opera House."[

The petition is still 'alive' it currently has over 309,000 signatures

This is a proclamation of the somewhat early death of the Berejiklian Government

The Public will deliver last rites - on 25 March 2019 NSW State Elec

After which Gladys Berejiklian will take a Big Money job with the Big End of Town and fade into wealthy obscurity. Having left NSW with a Sold Sign on many previously Public owned enterprises and properties

SoLow having his two bob worth on the top, why did he need to put the cherry on the arse wipe cake ?

Let me say that personally I do not care either way but find it a bit of a beat up when the Opra house has been used in this commercial manner for 5 years or more and this is the first we hear about it.

Secondly why should the Opera House bee used as a non gambling symbol when it was build on the funds raised by the Opera House Lottery.

That is right the Opera House is the product of gambling which makes this whole episode rather hypercritical, a rather inconvenient fact.

So when the the original Golden Casket was put together to fund QLD hospitals & the Childrens Hospital that wasn't a worthy cause?

And the Boys Town Art Union isn't worth it?

The Mater Art Union?

The RSL Art Union, The Endeavour Foundation Art Union

etc etc etc......

all put together for good causes .... because they can't get enough govt funds.

not merely for the benefit of the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Industry & it's now multiple associated betting agency companies.

I disagree with using the Opera House for advertising, but the anti-gambling angle was just an excuse for people to have another whinge.
