Yesterday detectives established a crime scene at Ms Powell's home, which is still active, with forensics teams examining the location.

"She's a 39-year-old lady, she lives alone there with a five-month-old son. The little boy was in the bedroom. He was uninjured and unharmed."

After the discovery of Ms Powell’s body, the baby was taken to hospital by emergency services and is now in the care of his grandparents.

I had a similar thought to your ex in that instead of a tattoo, because they can be changed, it is branded by a hot iron in their forehead. That way if they want it gone they have to deskin their forehead. Then if you see someone like that with massive scar or the words killer branded in their skin you know they've been up to no good.
