LUPINS

I tried making bread with lupin flour, it was a disaster.
Ended up with a blob of rock hard goo.

The dog liked it tho and it made her the best farting dog in the country

I wanted to see if lupins would open up cells to receive glucose and lower blood sugar.

I will try some other dish tho.

well done Mike at least you gave it a try but can't say Ive ever even heard of lupin flour-

I will be concentrating more on Asian food s and spices as they are renowned for the health benefits - the longest lived ppl in the world are japanese - but even now the western diet is infiltrating japan so how much longer will they have that reputation ( kfc maccas etc is part of their culture now)- the western diet is designed to kill us

Lupin flour looks interesting,  Mike

I'm pretty much off flour and rice now and feel really good for it.
What ever you eat tho you need to move your body every day.

Exercise regularly and don't eat too much.

there is a thing called ketogenic eating- which is extremly low carbs as they( carbs) produce sugar in your body- that is what a carb is- sugar- it not called white death for no reason-

Move a lot more and eat plenty of the low carb foods too lose weight- that means more meat so you should all be good with that- no flour no sugar - stop eating that shiit ad read labels sugar is hidden in everything- and the asian foods I m thinking of dont include those things anyway- but noodles ( although asian) are a no no so rice and ramen is out-

I took the dog for her 30 minutes of doggy internet today.

She read many messages and left many messages for other dogs.

My blood sugar went from 10 to 7.

Ags, probably for the last 6 months I've been on a keto 'style' program.

No rice, flour sugar and low carb veggies. Lots of healthy fats from avacados and nuts. No calorie counting just eating to be satisfied. I also throw in a bit of short fasting twice a week,  eat dinner at 6 and next meal at midday. Doing this you feel like crap for a few weeks then when your body adjusts you'll never feel better.

I'm not visually over weight but I plan on getting a body fat/composition scan some time and wanted to attack any subcutaneous fat before hand.

Here's the bad part. I've been in SE asia for 20 days, meat is scarce and I'm stuffing myself with rice, rice noodles and bread. The baguettes in Laos are off the chart yummy. And then there's the condensed milk in coffee.

The bounce back is a bitch. I reckon I've put on 5kgs even tho I've been walking 10km a day and doing exhausting physical labour in thr roasting heat.

I think for most Western men high protein, lowish fat and lowish carbs is the way to go. Keto? It can be done sensibly but there is a huge population of "Ketotards" who think protein turns into chocolate cake and massive "fat bombs" are healthy eating. Jesus.

Historically, some populations did fall into ketosis from time to time, or even seasonally, naturally, but it wasn't a chronic condition and I suspect for humans, chronic ketosis isn't beneficial.

The only defence I have for 'fat bombs' is they're incredibly satiating.
2 eggs fried with half a teaspoon of butter for breakfast and I won't think about food until 2pm.

Just like all food trends, you have your cult like followers....hello vegans!

But like you said, high protein low carbs with good fat is best for white guys.

Btw, diabetes in SE Asia is increasing very fast. A diet of white rice, low protein,  cheap beer and soft drinks and lots of smoking and no exercise does the trick.

I saw an account the other day that most Indians are deficient in protein. About a year and a half ago I started an experiment by upping protein by using high-grade casein and low-fat cottage cheese and I have gotten far, far leaner and more muscular, much more so than eating fat bombs ... but it seems to work for some ...

Yeah we also do a lot of whey powder. My daughter is lazy to eat protein before / after sport so a bit of whey does the trick.
