But they were simple questions, is Aussie up for the answer?  Can Aussie ban someone from his forum and by ban, in the ordinary and reasonable sense of the term, that is preventing someone from posting.

Outside Relationships, I have zero power...same as you and every other Member.

Inside Relationships......I can tell someone to cease posting (in other words.....ban).....but I have zero button to back that up.  I have to then go to FD/GMod and request that they do the 'physical' banning, by pushing the ban button only they have.

In no universe is telling someone to cease posting a ban, but interesting that you equate it so.

In your forum you can delete or archive the posts as soon as they appear?

You used the word 'prevent'.

We can't prevent people from posting - we can only ask them not to.

Nothing 'interesting' about it at all.  It is quite boring, in fact.

Yes......I can delete posts......and as for 'archive,' ~ that is not the wording on the button......that button says 'Hide' and is not for posts, rather...Threads.  I have never looked for/found a 'hide' button just for single posts.

You should take the time to actually read posts.

No.

I suspect that this might have something to do with his absence, though:

"Gweggy hates Poofs and Paedos - he accused everyone of being one.

"While in his personal life he was a 'whore-mongering' Redneck. He would lure many a woman into his rape-dungeon of sexual perversions and addictions. He would dominate them, break their self worth down into misery and mental abuse. He would 'control' them like a Screw to a Prisoner. His ego of womanising would be satisfied with calling other 'weaker' men as Poofs, Paedos, etc."

So Greggy,
you reckon you never reported this?

I got that spike.  Now I am asking a different question.

And cos you missed it, what do you do if someone posts to the forum after you have asked them not to?

I've never asked someone not to post in my forum, and I can't see me ever doing it in the future.

If it did happen, however, I'd follow the forum rules (guidelines?) and report it to FD or a GMod.

Why do you ask?

It is referred to FD/GMod.  If they reckon a ban is due, then they push the button only they have.

You still butthurt you got a brief ban from here, aren't you, Curve/Scorpion Tie (and one other I can't immediately remember.)

Aussie,
you got Setanta to ban me once for a week over nothing -
I was only defending myself against a tag team attack from Mothra & Monk.

You would delete it first though wouldn't you.

And after you have deleted it, you would presumably send the evidence to FD.

So a subsequent post after you have warned them not to, is that now two offences that you report to FD, the initial that got the warning and the posting after the warning?

So.....what?  I agree it was completely unrelated but you banned me from Snake Oil man's MRB for months over nothing more than you have allowed others to do there.

That's true in at least one instance, you just go straight to delete. No warning needed.

Don't like it, deleted, and again, and again, too easy, you can do it all night, nuffin better to do eh Turdy.
