What I meant was I hoped that the demons could soften the eagles up abit, there were a few that walked of sore but overall the D's even failed to do a job in this area.

As I don't have a "bird" in the fight this year, I'm hoping for a cliffhanger.

If you are a passionate supporter, it's excruciating as the clock runs down. When my Swannies played the Eagles in the 2005 and 2006 GF's we won by 4pts in 2005 and lost by 1pt in 2006. At least I won't be an emotionally spent force when the siren sounds this year. Grin

a close game is best Alinta ... always ............. last point kicked on the full time siren- Eagles have played some spectacular footy over the years... but because they are on the wrong side of the country...they suffer some pretty shabby treatment from the AFL....but they let their footy do the talking and sit the critics on their stupid asses. Gotta love them I say

well I was about to have a massive tantrum followed by a souful cry- because I thought I wouldnt be ale to watch the game on Saturday- my TV is cactus and the apps on my phone and laptop are not compatible with afl7 live streaming- BUT I am spending the day with my friend and taking popcorn and beer- so all good- Smiley

They have raised airfares to dayight robbery proportions thus pricing most of the eagles fans out of being able to attend the final by plane- SO a convoy of Eagles fans are crossing the NUllabor to attend the game- I admire the sheer spirit of a more than 3000k journey to do this- but its worth it to see our team take the flag-and they wouldnt be coming if they didnt already think we owned it- a 6000 k round trip ?

I have a cunning plan.

The AFL should make up for the final always being in Melbourne by giving Dockers, Eagles and Brisbane more home games during the season.

Let them choose which games as well,,,, no more double travel to two Headerville Tasmania for the Eagles.

The travel also shortens the careers of players, this would also help even that up.

Collingwood played an excellent defensive game....

in that

the Eagles should have smashed them....

in the second half Eagles had it in their forward 50 like 75% of the time ...

but it was only Collingwood's back men who stopped them scoring so regularly...

make no mistake... over the past few weeks... I've never seen Collingwood play better...

last week was particularly good by the Pies in that they won the game without getting help by the umpire...

they just played a brilliant game... especially that tall guy in the forward line (don't recollect his name sorry) I wish Carlton had him...

but who's next year??

Collingwood?

I doubt it... when you get that chance you have to grab it with both hands... the AFL competition is to close that if you have a 90% day you will lose...

you always have to be at 100%...

Next Year?

Richmond ?

Melbourne ?

Eagles ?

Pies ?

Giants?

Essendon ?

............

but anyways..

Eagles were brilliant...

Playing away from home to give a Victorian Team a whooping..
