Quote:Psalms 82:1
God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Can you imagine a bloke spouting that crap?
You would want to check around to see there were no sharp instruments within his reach.
1 Samuel 18:6
And it came to pass as they came,
when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.
7 And the women answered one another as they played, and said,
Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.
...it was a war!
issue,
I'm sure you will be pleased to hear,
that David [the attributed author of many of the Psalms] had access to many, many sharp swords,
and he lived to an old age,
and he did not die 'at his own hand'.
