Authorities across Australia need to make a gigantic effort to apprehend the fiends doing this (it is obvious there are copycats now)

If there is not an offence serious enough on the statutes then one, a Federal Law needs to be created with extremely serious results for anyone offending

This could well change the way we buy food

** I have just be made aware that in NSW Food Contamination is a serious offence punishable up to 10 years imprisonment

The PM just raised the penalty to 15 years jail.

The penalty should be hanging.

He cannot change NSW Law.  Where did you get 15 years from?  I just saw his mouth move and he said.....10 years.

That's what they said on channel 7 news.
Maybe there will be Federal laws introduced tomorrow to cover this crime?

After being stuck with 1000 needles?

After being forced to eat a punnet of strawberries full of needles.

Internal acupuncture...... works wonders...

Some kid owned up to it as a 'prank' - the cops are going to caution him....

It's terrorism.

Growers spend a lot of time and money on food safety schemes, when they really need it they find they are useless.

Good on the PM for eating a strawberry on TV and looking at changing the food tampering laws.

We've been smashing 2 punets a day.

WTFuq does Dutton's Border Force have to do with this?  Far cough Dutton with this diversion from what is on the table tomorrow in QT.  You are gonna cop one then!

Link.

Their mobile X-Ray units!  Yes!  They sorted this out, no doubt about it.

Quote:
Australian Border Force Commissioner Michael Outram said his staff have also been assisting in the investigation.

"Over three days recently … we provided our mobile x-ray units in support of the Queensland investigation.

"Given the harm to our community and the harm to one of our industries it is entirely appropriate that Australian Border Force resources are brought in to support the police effort where appropriate," Commissioner Outram said.

Wankers!

Angry

Onnce again Aussie shows us he's as thick as they come.

ANYTHING that helps restore confidence in the industry will help.

Why doesn't Aussie care for strawberry farmers?  He may as well just shove his fingers up their bums.

You'd think that metal detector machines would have no trouble screening fruit for needles?
Why didn't the multi billion dollar supermarkets just buy some metal detectors
& solve this problem?

I hope that the authorities nail these bludgers who have ruined the Strawberry industry

I hope that those dedicated to finding the perpetrators bring them to Justice

And I hope that they get the full 10 years for food tampering 'without provision for parole'

You only have to hang a few out to dry,  for the attraction for someone to carry out his act would be akin to drinking arsenic

Agreed.

Why do white, non-Muslims do these horrible things?
