Bobby, this happened in Melbourne

The second time I was propositioned to be paid for sex, a strange guy wanted to give me money to defecate in his mouth.

hang em

I wonder if his name was also Greg?

If you want gay chat go to Monk's forum -
Greggy will be there for you.

So Gweggy is back in Shady Pines licking his wounds?

Poor Mothra doesn't get any there (Shady Pines) - Monk & John Smith keep swapping 'gay' comments to each other.
Even Pinkeye (Emma) has to just dream of 'stallions', to get by.

Night. Gotta get sleep and drive to Melbourne (8hrs) tomorrow.
If I'm lucky I might find a Melbournian version of Harris Park? There's so many Indians down there too.
Other than that - I've promised Sir Last Nail, that I'll walk through Collinwood and take photo if I get time.

Couldn't wait to get out of Melbourne.
Did what I had to do down there for/with my client and couldn't wait to tie things up and leave.
Exhaust fume pollution (very noticeable when one does not live in such a big city) was everywhere. Noisy. All the big slums, buildings, skyscrapers, etc - all very 'oppressive'.
It's like sitting in the 'engine' of a car.

I won't be going down a 3rd time - I'll tell my client to 'shove it'!

I lived in Melbourne for 7 years.
I was at the end of an era.
That era was of a Melbourne that had its own soul and Victoria was like a different country.
It was indeed it's own little world, but for all the right reasons.
It was the age of VFL, not AFL - when players used to actually jump high and take marks.

...then AFL came, then the Casino came (and the Murray R towns started to go quiet at holidays) with 24/7 gambling for the 'susceptible' VICS, then the Conductors went, then 'Colonial' Stadium came, then the 'mass-production' Burbs for Retail began spreading, then NRL came to town.

That was when Melbourne, as 'itself' died and just another 'city' like 'any other' was emerging. Just a pre-fabricated money-making machine, rather than a 'home', a night out and a good game.
Quality was kicked out of bounds and Quantity was thrown in as a 'square' ball. It wasn't alone, Sydney also seemed to have 'died' and become a city that had 'sold its soul'.

Brisbane & Adelaide are only now losing theirs.

At the year 2000, I believe that the Golden Age of Australia, was over. After that, things just sort of got 'desperate'.

When I was last in Melbourne about a month ago. It seemed that even Aussie Rules was just like a faded myth, swallowed up by the City itself and all of its population. It seems that Aussie Rules fans still come out in droves, but in regards to the 'whole' population - they are just another minority.

Melbourne has too many people in it now.
There is bad traffic congestion & always trouble finding parking.
I prefer to live close to Geelong but the
trouble is that all my friends are in Melbourne.

Melbourne has changed, and there is an increase in crime.

My son has just moved out of Prahran and said was glad to go, saying how it must have been so different 70 years ago, when our grandparents lived there...more of a community where people helped people, and it was safe to go for a walk. Everyone knew everyone, and was friendly. Now, most people don't even know who their neighbours are.

As for parking....it's so damned difficult to either find parking, or then get fined for parking 5 minutes longer.

Any wonder it's getting more and more crowded out here in the Yarra Valley, the once quieter countrish area, looks like I am going to have to move further out away from the madding crowd!

Gosh, one sunny day we had yesterday, and every one was here, bikers, custom cars, city slickers wanting to get away from the city.
And admittedly, it is a lovely drive, beautiful mountains and air.
But gosh, don't tell anyone, it's getting ridiculously crowded with new estates going up. Makes me wonder how much longer before we get to sub divide, living in the 'green belt' but that will soon disappear with the suburban sprawl forcing it's way outwards from Melbourne surrounds due to lack of land space.
Sub divisions of once 1/4 acre blocks with 3 units on them now.
No room for kids to play with a ball or sprinklers or swing on swingsets.

You're right Lols.
Melbourne the Great, is long gone.
Sydney & Melbourne have 'sold their souls' and become nothing more than mass-production factories/offices living off mass influx of immigrants (& illegals).
It has become so out of control and a lowering of a quality of living, that the Govt has brought in a NEW Visa law stating anyone wanting to move and live in Australia MUST move to Regional areas/towns because both Cities are FULL, so to speak.
Pretty sad for things to have got so bad.

I recently had a falling out with one of my jobs that paid extremely well. Occasionally I would have to drive to Melbourne for a few days - but I refused to go a 3rd time and I copped a load of abuse down the phone.
But to me, I've had enough of Melbourne (& Sydney) - they are lost causes and a form of 'abuse' anyway.

I mean, would you willingly go live in a Prison?
Even if you got paid to do so?

I must add, that I hardly ever saw anyone with a smile, happy state of being or friendly disposition in Sydney or Melbourne ...unless it was based upon monetary wealth.

To think, we allow the Govt to base our 'culture' on these two places!  Roll Eyes
