If the President orders Declassification by the FBI or the CIA they must comply.

That is not the issue, his request for the unredacted information and the subject of that information that is.

He is playing a petty game of trying to avoid the consequences of his and his team's actions.

Those expressing concern over his request or Order if you so desire, are putting the country, it's safety, agency members and their methods above the petty squabble that is taking the focus of the President.

At best, BEST, Trump is displaying his usual ignorance of the world around him, the world he is in charge of and is trying to get material for the court of public opinion over the Russia investigation which may spectacularly backfire, or at worst, he's using this as a way of getting information Russia has requested to them.

I doubt it's the latter, but given all his other capitulations to Putin and Russia, it's sadly a legitimate possibility these days.

Surely you can understand the danger of releasing all the text messages and everything else Trump has requested, without redaction, from former high ranking members of the Intelligence and Federal Agencies regarding anything they've said that is even slightly related to Russia...

It seems like Trump is looking for more Strzok-esque messages to help attack the Mueller investigation and it's shocking that he'd take such risks with the country just to do so.

A petty vindictive man who is once again putting himself and his needs ahead of the country.

All of you defending this should be ashamed, but that ship has long sailed...

Read my posts above......not only can he order it, but he can order ALL of it completely redacted.....

BTW.....President Trump sees ALL classified information in those documents without redaction, so he already knows what's in them.....He's just making them public so the American People can see what chicanery the demon-RATS have been up to... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The President if fully within his Constitutional Power to do so.

He has expressly done so, & they will comply, or face the consequences....which could go far beyond removal.

The Constitution of the United States of America gives the President far reaching powers.....that's just one of many reasons why President Donald John Trump is the most Powerful Man in the World!

Spit the dummy........whinge all you want......facts are facts.....President Trump will prevail!!!
Yasssah, dat Presiden' .... He dun got da "juice"!!

Jesus, you're a slimy bastard...

The concern is not the order, but what he's ordered, not from the standpoint of constitutional power but what he wants, his motivations for it and the dangers involved.

All the information you ignored, specifically discoloured in the quote, is the point of the concern.

But as usual, you cherry pick and argue a different point entirely...

"argue"?

I wouldn't call it that, exactly.
