It was rather chilly in Bendigo this morning too. Still using the heating most days and at night.  My old bones can't stand being cold.  Grin

It's been very cold,
it looks like David DuByne and Robert Felix have underestimated how cold it would get.

We did get a few hot days last summer but
we definitely didn't get 3 or 4 days in a row of over 40 degrees.
Hopefully this summer will be mild.

It's sleeping in the heat that is difficult.
You can always sleep in whatever room has the aircon.

Now is the time to get one -
if you wait till it's hot then the air con people will
be too busy to install one - or you'll have to wait a month.

B Horsey,

And just to help BH with his confusion - weather applies to short time cycles whereas climate refers to long term cycles BUT Australian vernacular often uses the words interchangeably eg "What's the weather like in New Guinea ?" meaning what is the climate like there.

EVERYONE knows that Weather ONLY applies to COLD WEATHER and Climate ONLY applies to HOT WEATHER. (According to the Greenies).

But BOTH weather AND Climate follow well established cycles.

Think El Nino and La Nina weather cycles that regularly affect North Queensland and bleach the northern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

And Climate has been following roughly 11 year cycles controlled by sunspot activity for thousands of years.

At times the cool climate cycles have down turned to become an ice age. The Thames River once froze over.

At present Australia is experiencing a COOL Climate Cycle which will last for about 11 years until the sunspot activity picks up.

In the past, evidence of sunspot activity controlling climate in times gone by has been documented.

To repeat - the Greenies' Global Warming bulldust is just one GIGANTIC HOAX and is nothing more than a UN SCAM to try to transfer money from developed nations to poorer nations.

More great evidence for a mini ice age:

Late-season chill grips southeastern Australia

Ben Domensino, Tuesday September 25, 2018 - 09:24 EST

It feels like spring hasn't started in parts of southeastern Australia, with some places registering their lowest September temperatures in years during the last couple of mornings.

A cold air mass combined with clear skies and light winds is producing unusually cold mornings in parts of South Australia, Victoria, NSW and the ACT this week.

Despite being the first month of spring, Victoria's Nhill Airport registered its lowest temperature in three years on Tuesday morning, dropping to minus 1.2 degrees just before 6am. This was also the coldest September night in more than 15 years.

Elsewhere, South Australia's Hindmarsh (4.3C) experienced its coldest morning this late in the year for 15 years on Tuesday, while Coldstream (-0.2C) in Victoria and Sheffield (-0.5C) in Tasmania had their coldest mornings this late in the year since 2010.

On Monday, Australia's highest weather station, Thredbo Top Station, dropped to a numbing minus 9.7 degrees. This was Australia's lowest September temperature in five years. Mount Hotham's minus eight on 16th September was also Victoria's lowest temperature for the month since 2013.

The lack of rain in recent months is likely to have contributed to this late-season chill. Overnight cooling is enhanced when the air is dry and skies are clear.

Could be Aggy,
the Grand Solar Minimum is having an effect
just as people like Robert Felix and David DuByne predicted.
Al Gore has been proven wrong.

For New South Wales and South Australia, June continued a run of 14 consecutive months of warmer than average daytime temperatures since May 2017.
Yet melbourne has a cold morning...... Grin
