The first thing is to call for expressions of interest to run the board. Once the time is up for that, I will start another poll with all the names and you can see who has registered and vote if you wish. This is basically the same as all previous ones have run

I woudnt vote for brand new member they could be anybody that is my point they should have at least 2000 posts so we know something about them- I would hope a mod would agree with that as well-

To make this process less farcical and maybe less retrograde:

1. Candidates post a platform saying why they are standing, why they deserve votes and what/how they will run the MRB.

2. A week for some Q&A with the candidates.

3. Election to last 3-4 weeks, some elections were done surprisingly fast, bit sus!

4. People vote by posting “I vote for xxxxx”

Still a STUPID way to get some MRB Mods. Popularity contests that have resulted in disaster (Extremism Exposed, Multiculturalism, Dubyne MRB, Fringe, Hunting and Fishing.)

Some boards deserve burial despite having a Mod: Real Estate, Toolshed and Tavern spring to mind.

I agree some can be blended.....and maybe new ones created....

I could well run a Dear Dorothy board we have enough crackpots....

we need positive people who will stick to the topic rather than cheat and swipe others topics to boost their own forum that looks like its going nowhere.... Angry

we do need people that are liked by the majority of members to be the mods..... as a lot of people will not post or engage with someone they dislike.

which now happens and that is causing ozpol to become a shambles.....

we do not need EGO MANIACS who make it all about THEM

we already have enough....

Agnes has mismanaged Tavern, has the biggest ban list, no wonder it is dead. Being full of cods’ whinge threads makes it unappealing.
