Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

From your link-

The guns were not found with bullets, nor were they capable of being loaded.

Mr Sun was sentenced to a total of 50 months in jail, which was immediately suspended.

Sounds like Bwian is upset his jail term was suspended for making Cosplay toys that cannot be loaded or fired.

It's a sad day when replicating an item that is obviously a prop is considered to be a dangerous weapon under the law.

The problem is, they weren't, "obviously a prop," Baron.  From the pictures they appeared to be "film realistic" props - so, I can hear you screaming if he had been shot by a policeman who was fearful in turn of being shot himself when the cosplayer brandished one of his "prop" guns.   Tsk, tsk, Baron is clairvoyant it seems and is surprised when everybody else lacks his "talent".    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Hoplophobia is a political neologism coined by retired American military officer Jeff Cooper as a pejorative to describe an "irrational aversion to weapons." It is also used to describe the "fear of firearms" or the "fear of armed citizens."

Why is this even an issue? Real guns that have been permanently disabled are legal in many places where functional ones are not. They generally look the same before and after an approved modification. Anyone displaying them in a threatening manner is subject to criminal charges. Charging this man for making a realistic fake is akin to the Minority Report. Actually he is being persecuted with what he might do in the future!

Did you pluck that crap from your ass bwian?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

If you point any weapon at a police officer and get shot there will be no screaming from me, I would say it was a stupid thing to do.

The police were wrong in shooting these people who had a toy gun-
Quote:
A woman and a man have been rushed to hospital after being shot by police at a Melbourne nightclub.

A woman at the nightclub was also shot and was taken to hospital suffering a non-life threatening injury to her leg.

In a statement, nightclub owner Martha Tsamis said police overreacted to an anonymous phone call about an alleged firearm after security expressed they weren't concerned and could handle the situation.

Venue staff have stated the male victim was in "a compromising position" with his female partner and not holding anything in his hand.

Ms Tsamis added that all outfits and accessories are checked by security as a condition of entry into the venue.

Do we believe what the nightclub owner and staff said about that incident or the bullshit story from the police?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
