What would you do if your Home was being bombed by Turnbull? Stay there, or get out of the joint? Oh dear... sigh, English not your first language eh Gunga.Oh and to the Grammar Nazi... WHO was totally correct this time... there are multiple choices and multiple bombers. That's a racist comment, Grendel. I thought you weren't racist?? So you've given up on the constitutional and political reform you came here with to settle down here as just another SJW that wants to call names. Not saying One Arm is any better but in 12 months you have given away what you came with and turned into another sook. I gave up on my constitutional and political reform because no one wants it. And frankly, there's no point in banging in my head against a wall. As I recall, you were quite silent on discussion about my reforms proposals. Regarding the last part of your sentence and alluding to the comment that G made, I think it's important that I call him out on it. He often claims that he is not racist, yet makes racists comments about Aussie. You're welcome to call me an SJW for calling out someone who makes a racist comment about someone (let's be honest about his wife's ethnicity, which I considered out of bounds in an ethical sense); but I think I've shown common decency. I'm not sure I feel happy about your political transformation. I feel we have lost someone exploring politics and it's ramifications to the SJW caretaker of other's feelings. It is true that I have moved to the Left slightly, Set, I won't deny that. Let me tell you why. Initially I was a conservative and held conservative views. This was because I was taken in by the so-called Intellectual dark web types like Ben Shapiro, Milo Yiannopoulos, Jordan Peterson, etc. These, and others, and their right wing views are very appealing to people, particularly to young men. This is because they provide simple answers to complex problems, and create an attractive message for young men about why women 'don't like them'. It's very easy to be taken into. BUT, and not to sound like I've invented the wheel here, but things are often more complicated, and are not black and white. Let me give you an example: FD a few months ago raised the point about the high levels of inbreeding among Arabs, and attributed this to their plight and poverty. Now, it may be true (and this is where I differ from Leftists who aren't willing to engage in this debate) that there is a higher proportion of inbreeding in the Arab world, and that 'facts don't care about my feelings'; but the issue is that by pointing out this fact and assertively promoting it, the speaker is in a sense attempting to dehumanize a group of people. Now, I would in no way equivocate this statement to genocide, but dehumanization is ONE STEP toward to the road to genocide. This is why I don't buy the whole 'facts don't care about your feelings'. We should be able to have a civil discourse in society where we can state facts WHILST AT THE SAME TIME not dehumanize other people. The plight of the Arab people is a very complex thing, and simply using inbreeding as the major reason is just attempting to simplify a problem that is very complex. The same goes for refugees and our offshore detention facilities. It's very easy to say "we must focus on sustainability and infrastructure needs" whilst we torture innocent people and deprive them of rights. I'm all for having a discussion of numbers; but I think it's more important to resolve the issues of inhumanity AND THEN discuss numbers, sustainability, etc. The rule is simple = people before profits; people before politics; and people before numbers. I actually applaud your political shift, there should be more, go forth and evangelise. I may even find ground with you. Why bother arguing facts. If close relative marriage and breeding within a culture is a fact, if the consequences of that fact is as true as we know it is and the practice of it, to close the circle, is dominant in one culture... We know it's a bad way to breed people, no-one would complain if it was European royalty, would they? Don't try and protect people feelings, they might change. The brief explanation of your leftist economic view(I would like to hear your conversion story), yeah, I'm mostly with that.
