Answering the thread started by ’Hippy in the Dubyne MRB.

I have some ideas why:

1. A Mod was selected by popuarity contest. This Mod cannot accept responsibility for his own actions (mothra and me MADE him troll us, the people on my fine forum MADE him use language that would make a trooper blush. He won the popularity contest by the sewer voting/campaigning on hios behalf, not that they have or will post there, it was about making Booby owe them a favor.

2. The idiotic Mod of the Dubyne then banned me for speaking the truth. Adoration of Snake Oil Man is a prerequisite for posting in the Dubyne MRB. Of course, I was a prolific poster so the number of new posts plummeted

3. Abuse is allowed in the Dubyne MRB. Read about any post by The Mechanic there, roach called me a liar etc and all that is allowed to stand. To call that crap Modding is a huge understatement!

4. Because I got banned and Lees is a climate change denier, scared shitless by the very thought of AGW he now posts here mostly, bullshit posts to try and cover up my posts.


If I had been made Mod, not that I stood and will not stand for Mod of any MRB here, Booby could have posted his ice age nonsense unmolested—in the ice age thread. LOTS more interesting subjects would be being discussed. Barnacle would have been the natural choice for Environment Mod.

Just an example of the decay affecting OzPol that I try to get some action on. Look at Real Estate—not just moribund but dead as the Dodo! Toolshed, Fringe, Tavern, Travel etc etc. Either delete them or appoint decent Mods! Not rocket science!

Last time I “spoke” to Vic he indicated FD still wanted election of Mods despite the failures. I think Vic wasn’t convinced anymore that it was a good idea.

Mods should be appointed so they don’t owe favors!

Just between you, me and the gatepost, I think a crisis is very very near, to do with polar ice. We can’t discus this in the Dubyne MBHR and while Aussie is a gracious host this really isn’t the right place.

A classic is when I posted about a study using tide gauges showing sea level rise and he rushed in, nearly had a heart attack, did some searching, posted a paper by a different scientist who used satellite data and said that was the study I posted about and satellite data was useless. Showing poor old Lees is scared rigid at any mention of AGW.

If only Lees had bought and read the “Statistics for Dummies” book he used to “wave around.” Might have learned something but learning is not what Lees is about, denial is.

Ahahaha I once mentioned how you could test for warming: theory, null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis. I mentioned Chi Square as a way of testing if temperature data by month or year was random or not. He just about had a heart attack!

He accepted the Harries and Feldman papers as showing AGW was real but not that long ago he was denying AGW to some member or other.

Some facts are downright nasty but a man looks unpleasant facts in the face and plans to cope with and adapt etc to the facts. That is how I see it anyway. Chamberlain dodged facts, Churchill didn’t and thank god for that or we would be speaking German or Japanese!
