Not sure where I stand on the issue, other than I acknowledge being a traditionalist.

Yeah—no one should have to suffer the anguish of a trial twice.

But—genuine new, compelling evidence?

Glad it is not up to me to make the decision!

I dunno about this. I never understood why people couldn't be tried again if there's evidence they got away with murder in the first place

I believe it goes back to when the DP was common. Now that we have no DP I can see no reason not to if there is overwhelmingly compelling new evidence.
