Anyone who's been to the Ku De Ta in Perth should find this article interesting.

I think she nails it.

Perth's Ku De Ta: doomed from the start

"Everyone was thrilled Ku De Ta was coming here because they thought it would bring that Bali magic home.

"Instead we got classic Perth: $25 pizzas, $18 cocktails, $12.50 schooners, meaningful salvaged-wood interiors and giggly young women falling about in spike heels."

"It cost about $100 for our casual lunch. We paid restaurant prices but still had to climb up and down off our stools to order at the bar."

I went there about half a dozen times (not sure why I kept going back), and the service was a major problem.

They came to your table to take your food order, but then you had to get up and go to the bar to order your drinks.

Then, the drinks would sit on the bar for 10 to 15 minutes until one of the staff decided to take it to the table.

The service was terrible.

And the stools were way too high - I saw two young women take a tumble trying to get on and off them.
