Well, what happened to that hell is going to freeze over, and people is going to be turned gay en mass after legalization?

Get over it boys.  Same sex marriage is now legal.

Yeah what happened to that... I never heard that from anyone except those supporting the SSM push.

Like I always said...  NOT EVEN THE MAJORITY OF GAYS WANT TO MARRY... guess that is being born out eh.

It is not a matter of how many wants to get married.  It is a matter of the right to get married when or if they choose.  It is about freedom and equality

Made another group of clientele for Divorce Lawyers.

Business will be booming with that addition to the coffers.

So you do understand the principles that marriage between a man & woman was based on do you not?

Not really in our modern and protected society, where children can prosper without families as long as they don't run foul of paedos and drugs and street life etc, and families can be a single parent or a mingled mangled mass with higher daily casualties - but the difference is in the way the institution of marriage was installed initially......  marriage, like such things as law and other similar things, was organised to fit a specific set of circumstances..... like law, changing it needed a clear and present reason supported, in a democracy, by the views of the masses.

The continuing argument is over the virtue of a postal non-binding survey being used as the justification for changing that established institution.  All the usual whining about teenagers threatening suicide and other mental deficiencies seems to have subsided now, and we are only left with the Usual Suspect trannie etc going the rat with an axe or similar due to hormonal, drug-related, and hysterical problems that should be treated in a different manner and arena.

The slow pace of 'gay marriage' is most likely due to their deeper-seated unwillingness to 'commit', and their preference in most cases for a free range lifestyle (and sometimes deathstyle)...... as for Bill's suicides - if they're gonna do it - they're gonna do it, and nothing will stop them.

Next round will be the same (pissy little) emotional blackmailers threatening suicide because of their serial 'unsuccessful' relationships lifestyle and 'how terribly they're treated by society and are bashed on every corner etc'... when they want to take the long jump, nothing can stop them, and the world is already full of nut cases.   Cool

Yes - he does - and is unwilling to discuss the issue of any genuine compelling reason to change it.  Gays should be content to be tolerated and enjoy a far lower rate of personal direct violence than heterosexual men, who suffer the most such incidence, not least of all from their own government and its agencies set up to ensure peace and rule of law.

Jeez - they even get affirmative action, and wait until Labor gets the hot seat and forces its 50% women on us - then 3% gays, 2.6% Muslims, 3% Aboriginals... maybe the Token African here and there, as long as she isn't White and part of The Oppressor Race ....

Based on love for each other and a desire to spend their lives together and by doing it legally they have recourse if soemthing happens to the partner?

Why?

Dozens of pieces of legislation get passed in parliament every year.

Why is it that this particular piece of legislation needed approval by the masses?

marriage has been falling out of favour over the last few years- does it cement the bonds that bind a couple- or will a good coupling just last regardless of the iron ring of nessecity

Define love.... a desire to spend their lives together is not the reason and purpose of marriage, and recourse to accepted partner's chattels etc can be (and should be) legally protected without marriage.

None of these is a reason or justification for marriage... let's ask peccary about his full range of issues in his own marriage.. just for enlightenment...  was it purely because you wanted it, or it was it just pure 'love' (please define - like courage love has many aspects and approaches)... or were there other issues involved???
