Indeed.

She's a complete nincompoop.

Complete?  Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration.  She's no Einstein, but how many politicians thesedays are?

I thought I was being kind to her, actually.

Well, when you put it that way, Greggery, by your own personal definition of the word kind I am sure that I write on behalf of the complete nincompoops of Australia that we are thankful for your kind words. Wink

You're welcome.

In all seriousness, I've conversed with primary school children who are smarter than Hanson.

She's a lot like Trump: she's knows next to nothing about almost everything.

Aww c'mon now Greg'.  Do you want me to write a list for you?  I'd rather not because they're mostly female, and I am not wanting to be labelled as a misogynist about the truth.  It's all out there in the media already, who the dunderheads in Canberra are.

Pauline is just one of them.  She is not there for her brains, nor her looks.  She is there for the devout patriotic Australians that she represents, as ineffectively as she might go about doing it.

How patriotic are you, Greggerry?

How does one answer that question?

Um, I'm quite patriotic.

On a scale from 1 to 10:  6 or 7, I guess.

I certainly like Australia - it has some fine qualities.

Has some bad qualities too: racism is on the rise again, and that worries me.

I don't support Australian music and cinema, just because it's Australian.

I support good music and cinema, no matter where it comes from.

Does that make me less patriotic?

I don't stand for the anthem at sporting events - does that make me unpatriotic?

That's gotta be worth a few points off.

I'd say a nice 7.

What about you: a nationalistic 11?

What a good honest answer.  Your estimate of 6 or 7/10 is probably not far off the mark, because the question is, Why do you not appreciate the effort that Ms Hanson is making to stand up for true(-blue?) Australian culture and true(-blue) Australians?

She scores at least a 9/10 on your scale IMHO as far as her public persona goes, and I admit that she sounds a lot like Anthony Albanese's sister, and she's not really ever achieved anything in per political career besides those 77 days in jail, but she stands for something as important as the ground we stand on, in her own special way.  She's an enigma.

I am veering off the topic of the flip-flop on the tax business, so please let me not harp on too much more.  Just trust in her for what she is doing, even if she has a bit of a Queenslander's way of doing it.  All our hearts are in the same place as true Australians.  I'll leave out the blue parentheses this time because I'm sure you get my meaning by now.

Thanks for a legitimate answer to my not-quite legitimate question.

The question is 'how patriotic are you' - not 'what has the country done for you'.

I'd say you love Australia to the point where you think it's superior to all other countries.

That's nationalism, so I think that would be a 10 (possibly an 11).

Why would I want drastic change if I was 11 Pecca. It's you who is the conservative, not me. I'm probably about a 2.

You don't know Pauline and you don't know Imrah so stop with the vague and wild aspersions.  How can you lump us both into the same basket so flipppantly?

I suppose maybe you're having a bit of a lunar experience today is all.  No worries.  You'll hopefully be in control of your intellect next week when the Moon is waning.

Maybe it is just because she does keep changing her mind ??

Hanson changing her mind is just a fact bit silly to make claims like this. Sure that the Lieberals have noted it as well.

Well they don't make it easy for her. They are all in it together to see her back in some fish and chip shop somewhere. She's dangerous to their nice neat little system.

She has the brain of a gnat.
