In August 2021, Newcastle Coroner Karen Dilks recorded that Lisa Shaw had died “due to complications of an AstraZeneca COVID vaccination”.

Not only that they forced their bullshit corporate model onto Australia whilst grabbing our generous donations to them for making old rubbish that eventually they could not sell to anyone. The rest is history unfortunately Sad

And even the bolt, it could of been a Tesla model 3 killer and they only sell enough to pass the environment rules in the USA, still they have gone bankrupt before and they r getting smaller and smaller in production. Wink

Hi Nail,
GM is corrupt because it has shares in the oil industry.
The last thing it wanted was people to not have to pay to use their cars -
no petrol required.

They could have made electric cars here with all the money
they were given by our Govts.
We wouldn't have lost all those jobs.
Once again, corporations don't give a stuff about anyone.

Yes already 700,000 electric cars in china and no-go areas for fossil fool vehicles. They are not worried about the odd fire like idiot socko obsesses over.

No go areas for fossil fuels: I expect this will be the idea that is needed for change by the world at large!

I should expect more details in the media about this sooner rather than later or this planet is stuffed!

Hey, what about Hollywood getting involved or don't they care enough?

You bet. This local EV maker needed some help but instead the pollies kept giving billions of tax payers dollars to the likes of Holden and Ford to make obsolete rubbish that nobody wanted anymore Sad This seems to be a recurring theme with pollies in this country where they turn their back on local talent and instead throw truck loads of money at multi-national dead horses Sad Who knows but Ross Blade could have been Australia's version of Elon Musk, but instead we now have vacant factory floors where cars once were being made and no EV's to replace them Sad

In fairness you need to consider when the EV1 was manufactured. The EV1 was built at a time when commodities were at all time lows. This included oil, which was below US$15 per barrel. Global warming caused by man made CO2 was getting traction but no nation had any solid policies in place to reduce CO2 output. At the time it was built it wasn't going to be a viable product.

On the topic of oil companies being in bed with car companies, I had a friend working at Bosch Australia, which made components for the Australian Car Industry. He said that when it came time for Holden or Ford to develop the next model, the petrochemical companies would spend around $50 million towards R&D, at a time when total R&D budgets for a new model were around $800 million. They gave the money on the condition that the next model would remain a large sedan with 6 cylinder or more engines. They did this knowing that they would eventually get back the costs in fuel sales. I'm guessing that it got to a point when they realised that people no longer wanted large sedans like they once did and stopped funding altogether.

The EV1 and a few others like it were built because of the  Zero Emission Vehicle mandate in California which stipulated that a certain percentage of cars sold had to be zero emissions. Guess who forced this mandate to be reversed ? None other than George the Village Idiot Bush and his oily mates Sad

There is nothing fair about the deal the polies struck with Holden and Ford. The polies handed them over a blank cheque to do what they liked and now we have nothing to show for it.
