Mate swam at Bondi last week and noticed many 'tourists' letting 'floaters' go in the water, rather than use the toilets.
Apparently, in other countries - this is considered 'normal' behaviour.
I've dived a wreck 2kms out from Bondi, but I've only ever swam at Bondi once when very young.
It left a bad taste in my mouth and I never returned.
It sums up Sydney considerably: Over-Rated.
A terrible beach that isn't really that big, over-crowded, full of Rips and Dumpers, has pot-belly 'Beach Masters' with their gold rolex's sleazing for filth, thieves, Celebrity egos, snobs, hipsters, rubbish.

Yep - Bondi is a Back-water.

'tourists' letting 'floaters' go in the water -

surely no one would do such a thing?

I should be getting Orca & Whales soon, where I now live. Can't wait to go diving with them in all that 'salt water'  Wink

You can watch from the safety of you Harris Park unit Unforgiven. Grin

Don't swim behind whales or Gordon who looks like a whale. Long stream of brown substance ejected out might give you nasty surprise.

You'll recognize Gordon by the mooning as he drops his shorts and ejects a brown torpedo.

Nobody told them tourists that bodily fluids attract sharks.... no wonder they get eaten ... which reminds me - where are the annual reports of 'entire Middle Eastern family wiped out on fishing trip' or 'dopey Gypo swept away by Kiama Blowhole' or 'Asian rock fisherman swept out to sea - search continues' or 'drunken Pom missing after midnight swim off Bondi after party' or 'Search will resume at first light for missing backpacker last seen on surfboard at Cronulla feeding sharks' or 'Ten more Tourists vanish in muddy creeks in Northern Territory while swimming' ................

Ever since a small crocodile surfaced in front of me at Yeppoon beach, I have not been in the water. Having watched the Olympics at Brazil (not that I was there), I had wondered how they let the competitors use the beach for their marathon swimming.

It will take a lot of convincing to get me to go swimming at the beach again.

Up north you can get tropical ulcers from the coral spawn if its that time of year and with sandfly bites its not hard. Also crocodiles can cause death.

Which day? Here's a photo from last week. Not many (no) Indians in the water Wink just surfers in wetsuits. Bit hard to drop a log in a wetsuit I reckon.

Yeah, I know it's disappointing to you that Bondi actually has crystal clear water these days. That's why a freestanding house here cost about $5M

Here's one from the next day. Notice the same smudge on top right of the frame from damage to the lens.

Nice work with paintshop pro. You are evolving Gordon. You didn't quite match the 'smudge'.
