There is no doubt Trump's achievments, but most tend to be in spite of his actions, not because of them.
The benefit of having millions of dollars to start with, going into any deal/negotiation and being a letigous coward with a huge legal team is the secret to his success.
Basically for Trump, you need to be successful to be successful.
If he's had to start from nothing and dig his way out of the holes he created rather than being bailed out, he would be nothing more than a loud mouth used car salesman.
Don't confuse his material achievements with intelligence.
There is a difference between book smarts and intelligence yes, but there is still a basic requirement of general knowledge in the given topic at hand. Trump always seems to be lacking that no matter what the subject.
One wonders if it's laziness, a learning disability of an inflated ego that things he already knows best, despite not knowing anything.
But honestly, if you read Trump's books, even with the ghostwriters, or you learn the lessons from any biography that hasn't gone through the Trump filter, he's not the brilliant everyman his fans think he is.
He's a thug who uses might over knowledge.
As President, that's scary. Other countries, especially if they're equally as poorly led, will call that bluff.
Banks think so poorly of him that the last time any of them lent him money, one condition was that Trump had NOTHING to do with the project and decision-making because his record was so terrible. Naturally, he disobeyed and ran casinos of all things into the ground and bankrupt while also getting the largest find for money-laundering in US history. After that, no US bank would touch him - or legitimate foreign banks either. But the Russian Mob... they didnt have a problem lending to him.
