it is very normal or natural thing for a cat to do....sadly...
however have you tried a bell collar?.....
not sure desexing changes anything but it is something I have always had done to my animals....
also as they get older like me they get less active....
it is something mother nature must have thought was useful...I know my cat had brought home so many rodents which I cannot stand.. but all the same I am grateful there are less of them with her around...
some wish all cats were exterminated but then the thought of being over run with rodents sends me spinnings...
I haven't had problems with previous cats and bell collars, but I've tried numerous times to get this cat to wear a collar He has always gone berserk - as though he is being attacked by a strange animal.
I do appreciate the reduction in rodents though.

when they talk about native animal habitat look what we do to that... we start fires that wipe out whole forests over night....we poison the ocean..... we bring animals from other countries that breed like wildfire and poison everything in their path...yes including wild life..
This is all true Cods. The professionals rave about back burning being essential, but it often gets out of control. Do they consider the terror and slaughter inflicted on all our bush creatures when they start these fires? Wild bushfires also are more often than not started by firebugs.
Australia hasn't looked after their native animals. We have one of the highest losses of species on earth and they're still disappearing quickly.
