Valkie you get the booby prize for that response
Clearly, the Gun Control Laws have been an outstanding success
The Gun Laws had nothing nothing to do with Politics, in fact at the time John Howard was getting a furious backlash from the Gun Lobby
Are you truly putting up an argument that if we didn't have gun control that the homicide rate would go down?
As a retired Police officer I find that laughable. Given the choice about going out into the Community where everyone is armed to the teeth and having the current status quo every cop I have ever known would choose the status quo
So
Let me get this right
Every Australian cop has a gun right?
And by your own argument every one of them is a potential shooter in the making?
Guns are a tool
Like a chainsaw or rabbit trap to a farmer
Legal gun ownership is not a problem in this country
Only salivating , screaming cowards like howard fear gun ownership.
Illegal gun ownership is however a problem.
And gun laws are as effective against illegal gun ownership as are ICAC investigations into petrol sorting ( just bovine feaces)
At this point I might add, I personally don't like guns
I don't own one and never will.
a gun is a cowardly weakling tool, one used by anyone who has not the ability to fight like a man.
Our nanny state and country are gradually making everything illegal
guns, knives, nail files etc etc.
That is because the cowards in power know that eventually we people will stand up to them, and when we do, we won't need guns.
