24th April 1951 - At Kapyong 3RAR and a Canadian battalion and a NZ Artillery unit stalled a Chinese advance and inflicted heavy casualties on them.

I wouldn't wish a member of 3RAR a "happy" anything.  I served with an ex-member of 3RAR who was at Kapyong.  He was a senior WO1 when I knew him.   He had no happy memories of that battle.   He was in his words, "lucky to have survived."   The accounts bear that out.  3RAR also had an American medium tank company and an American mortar company attached.   The Americans bugged out early.
