Given what I already know of purchase price and what I have seen, my guess is that the eBay thing is from Hong Kong.

No matter......I just want to insure it, not sell it. I'll give it to my Grandson on his 18th.

My Seiko was the most accurate timepiece I had ever owned, like a digital. One day, when working in the freezer of Poultry Wholesalers in Perth, I slipped on ice and broke the glass on the rollers that came from the snap freezer. My mum had it fixed for me and the jeweller "serviced" the watch, it never kept the time, minutes out per day, from then on I never wore it and I threw it in the draw.

Gold watches look crass. Sure it's an opinion. Gold is not a good material for watches unless you never do anything. Perhaps that is the point of them, look at me, I don't need to move.
