Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

ABC fact check for you - slippery, twisty, Bwianesque.

What Hanson said:  "These ones that are there have not proven themselves to be genuine refugees to warrant them coming to Australia," Senator Hanson said.

What the ABC wanted to hear and 'fact checked':
The overwhelming majority of asylum seekers currently on Nauru have been deemed to be refugees by the Nauruan Government in accordance with international law and the United Nations refugee convention.

She is absolutely correct, they were deemed, not proven to be refugees.  Deemed means there was no evidence to prove or refute their claims so they were simply 'deemed'.  The ABC 'farce checker' doesn't explain, natuarally, what deeming in these circumstances means. The word occurs only once, when they deliberately misinterpret and misrepresent Hanson.

Actually, she is wrong.  The overwhelming majority of those on Nauru have proved that they are genuine refugees according to the Australian Governments own Immigration criteria.  Time to wake up to reality, Soren.  Tsk, tsk.  Stop hiding your head under the bedclothes.   Roll Eyes

Thank you for lying while you are looking at the difference between prove and deem.

Err, Soren, how do you become "deemed to be a refugee", except by proving that you deserve to be granted Asylum?  Mmmm?    Roll Eyes

They have proven nothing except perhaps that they come from shitehole countries to which you can't return people. They have proven no prosecution in most cases since their very identity is not proven.

They are deemed refugees because they cannot be returned. But being deemed refugees doesn't entitle them to permanent settlement. That's a separate issue. So they can be refugees for a lifetime ( as Palestinians are because no Muslim Arab brothers will take them, for example).

They have deemed to be Refugees because they could prove their cases for a need for Asylum, Soren.   Time you caught up with the process implemented by the Australian Immigration Dept.   It is not an easy road, by any means...   Roll Eyes

Pualine is doing a great job, she is one against almost all of the politicians, she sticks it up them on behalf of the majority of Australians on issues we never get to have a say on, for example IMMIGRATION.

Deem them whatever as long as they are not allowed in.

The legal immigration system is bogus enough, don't need fake 'refugees' to flood in. They farked up their own countries and they are now coming to bugger up the West.  They bring all their stupid, backward superstitions and violence and mental straitjackets.

Your Xenophobia, writ large for the whole world to see, Soren.  Tsk, tsk, in reality, there are only a tiny minority who have been judged to be "fake" amongst the Asylum Seekers on Nauru.  Time to wake up to just how narrow minded you are.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.
