How do you confuse a Perth driver?

Put him at a cross intersection with a stop sign on all four sides... give way to the right - give way to the right - give way to the right - hmmm - that leaves me... or does it?

Had the same thing here with three stop signs at a cross junction... even that was bad enough....

General cultural rule in OZ.

Country/Rural people: Can drive properly, but can't park for chit!

City/Suburban people: Can't drive for chit, but can park on a dime.

And me...

Although WA drivers were some of the best in my opinion when I left there and experienced other states in the '80s. NT drivers were pretty good too. Queenslanders scared the shyte out of me when we first drove through that state and NSW drivers were the rudest and most impatient. Now I'm a NSW driver that has never had a demerit here, I've lifted their game.

Edit: I also regularly do the online drivers license tests to make sure I'm up to date with the laws. I'd recommend you all do that.

I've had heaps of tickets,  that's part of city life. All petty stuff like less than 15 over.

Never been at fault in an accident.

I've twice been in a multi car pile up while I've avoided the car in front of me but been hit from behind.

I find driving well really easy. Many don't.

I have been all over the world and driven in many countries.

I can state that Australia has some of the most ignorant and incompetent drivers ON THE PLANET regardless of which state or territory they inhabit.

Yes there are some horrendous traffic situations in China and France, but generally the drivers are, when away from the congestion, more tolerant and capable than Australians.
In Aussie land I have seen people actually aim their vehicles at drivers who make mistakes, what sort of dunderheaded does that?

There is of course one caveat
Indian drivers are simply suicidal in the extreme regardless of their country of residence.

Only twice
Once at night and while still heavily gridlocked, it was not too bad.
The second time I travelled by train

Now THAT was an experience 🤤😲😨😭😟

OK, I would not be sure what to do at a four stop sign intersection,,, these were never mentioned in any driving lessons or driving tests that I did.

Being confused is probably the sensible option.

Being a smart arse will probably get you killed.

The first basic law of driving in Australia: you simply give way to your right.

First come, first served.

The chances of 4 cars arriving at the 4 stop signs at exactly the same time are quite remote.

These sort of intersections are common in some states in the US, and the Americans seem to deal with them okay.

I don't think so.  If I am the first to stop and no-one is on my right....I go.

First come, first served.

If you arrive together, though, you give way to your right.

It couldn't be simpler.
