Even Gandalf acknowledges that inbreeding is a significant problem among the worlds Muslims, though he is hoping that large swathes of non-Muslim Africa also have a lot of inbreeding.

Inbreeding is closely related to the problems Islam has with women's rights. When women are treated as property and covered with tents when they go outside, and punished for even talking to unrelated males, it makes it more likely that the property will be kept within the family.
