"intersex" or "non-binary" on their birth certifi

One of the biggest complaints I receive in my office is parents inability to register their new born as "intersex" or "non-binary" on their birth certificates...... NOT!

In fact I've never taken a call, email or facebook message.

The truth is, Labor are completely wasting everyone's time with this political correctness BS!

State Labor Governments have proven they're not interested in fixing the bare essentials our states require. Power prices, waiting times for surgery, congestion on our roads, red tape, housing affordability and so many other more important issues.

It's just the tip of the iceberg, especially if Bill Shorten is voted in as Prime Minister.

Gender-neutral birth, death, adoption certificates considered for Queensland

CHILDREN would be able to be identified as “intersex” or “non-binary” on their birth certificates under a controversial proposal being considered by the State Government.

A new discussion paper into how to recognise sex and gender diversity – commissioned by Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath – is looking into whether gender-neutral terms could be incorporated into the birth, adoption and death registers.

The paper says there are “limitations’’ under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act to how sex- and gender-diverse people living in Queensland can be recognised.

The Act has not been “comprehensively reviewed” since its introduction in 2004.

Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath said the Palaszczuk Government’s position would be shaped by the discussion paper.

“Calls have been made to include either another category of sex, to allow individuals to self-identify their sex or gender when registering a life event, or to choose their sex or gender from a range of additional categories of sex, such as non-binary, unspecified, non-specific, indeterminate or intersex,” the paper says.

Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington has rubbished the proposal, labelling it “political correctness gone mad”.

She said Queenslanders care about hospitals, schools, transport and jobs “not what is on their birth certificate”.

“Annastacia Palaszczuk’s priorities are simply wrong. State Government’s should be about delivery not social engineering
... the thought police have gone way too far this time,’’ she said.

Ms D’Ath said the Government was yet to take a position on the matter and would be shaped by submissions to the discussion paper.

“There are many people in the LGBTI community who feel current laws don’t adequately reflect or capture the true fabric of all Queensland families,” she said.

“Now that we have marriage equality, the time is right to examine whether Queensland’s life event registration services meet changing community expectations and the needs of LGBTI Queensland.’’

give the queers an inch and they'l take a mile...

this is why this country is going backwards... no one is talking about real issues... its non stop BS about queers and how "my feelings" got hurt...  Cry Cry Cry

vote One Nation and stop this madness...

send the political retards a message that they need to concentrate on the real issues that effect 99.0% of Australians... !!

Mechie, where is the evidence that this is something that Labor actually wants?  "Being considered" means exactly that, no decision has been made and more than likely it didn't come from the ALP but from external sources.   Talk about Hanson getting desperate.  Is she suffering "Relevance Deprivation Syndrome"?  Tsk, tsk.   Roll Eyes

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Pity other things such as employment, infrastructure (outside of SEQ), crime, health, & education don't get the same level of 'consideration by these idiots.

They make a big deal out of drivel, then pass it off as good government, cretins couldn't run a state school tuckshop. Which is ironic because that is exactly what her main job was before becoming premier.

You have evidence of that or simply is that your prejudice showing through, again?

Or do you mean they aren't handing down draconian enough sentences in your opinion?  Really?  Is that the level of your belief in a "lack of consideration"?    Roll Eyes
