It brings in over $380 million per annum for the Victorian government and they want to place it in the hands of the oligarchy a few greedy men, how will this short fall in the budget be made up…???

If the sale goes through expect price hikes like every other industry that has been privatised.

Remember our commonwealth bank when it was sold it was making $5 billion profit per annum.

Remember our telco Telstra when it was sold it was making $7 billion dollars profit.

Instead of the federal government getting all this money for amenities and services it now goes to a hand full of greedy RICH men.

Public assets should not be sold without the consultation of the public they are OUR CASH COWS .

Is the land titles office owned by Daniel Andrews or Tim Palls no f@rking way we own it we should have the final say on whether it is to be sold or not.

The registrar of titles will remain under state control, retaining an oversight role over the private operator.

The private operator will be responsible for land registry functions and transactions for 40 years, after which responsibilities will be returned to public hands.

It will be similar to the privatization of the trains and trams. The private company will be paid a management fee. There is no way that the government would forgo the millions they receive in Stamp duty and registration fees.
