I liked Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood???

The series Breaking Bad is eye opening and very thought provoking if you have the time to watch it???

Thanks Phil, I've noted that down ~ Breaking Bad. It's too early for me to watch Grand Torino again.

For years I never watched any movies, and so I'm doing a 'catch-up' time lately.

Guess what. Movies are crap these days. All the talent is being put into series.

Try these, all IMDB 8 or higher, intelligent and insanely well made.

Peaky Blinders
Westworld
Better Call Saul
Narcos
Bosch
Counterpart
Ozark
The Terror
The Night of

You missed the best one.

Ray Donovan.

You've mentioned it before,  I'll give it a crack one day.

Everything on my list is very bloody solid tho!

Oh another one, Deadwood.

Peaky Blinders is excellent.

However, I guarantee you'll love Ray Donovan.

I'm watching Deadwood now - they say "cocksucker" a lot.

Deadwood is/was great.

Bosch is just so so.  Anyone who has read the books probably wouldn't like Titus Welliver in the lead though.   A bit like the Tom Cruise/Jack Reacher thing.  He's too short.

Ray Donovan was ok but I couldn't get all the way through it.

Are you enjoying it? If so you'll be happy to know they're finally doing another season.

Ian Mcshane is just brilliant. The Mr Woo scenes are priceless.

I know Bosch has some problems but I like the vibe.  I love when he plays records in his cool house.

Herb, I enjoyed 'the Founder', starring Michael Keaton. A movie about Ray Kroc, THE McDonalds' king-pin might not sound very exciting, but there is a really thought-provoking moral fable in there.

I'm thinking of watching Liam Neeson in the action-thriller 'Run all Night'.

I was going to watch him in 'The Commuter', but the reviews are so appalling that I'm giving it a miss.

I've been enjoying Liam Neeson's reappearance in movies after his long break from his earlier years. Also a big fan of Ed Harris.

I'm also considering 'Logan' with Hugh Jackson.

Jeez Herb, you've got rotten taste in movies.

Thank you.

I don't care if I've got Rotten Tomatoes taste in movies. At heart I'm Trailer Trash despite my expensive private boarding school years reading Shakespeare and Chaucer.

I wallow in movie garbage of the Sex-and-Violence type that presses all my buttons.
