No federal government in Australia will get the support of the people in this social media world we now live in.

We would be better off returning to the 1960's when most people worked in factories and one family member stayed at home.

Certainly the "education revolution" turned most people into educated greedy idiots.

Good. It means politicians are for about the first time in history actually held to account by society. We don't need a public fawning over politicians and giving them carte- blanche to enact whatever they want. Its actually a good thing that politicians are constantly looking over their shoulders and have little confidence about the security of their positions.

The problem with this is it tends to lead to popularist decisions

"popularist decisions" are generally the right decisions, IMO. Populism generally opposes the oligarchy of big business that so pervades our democracy today. Its complete nonsense that 'traditional' governance that is so entwined with helping the rich and powerful is whats best for the country. Of course it can turn nasty when it turns to racism and persecuting 'the other' - but I think that is largely manufactured by the politicians themselves. By and large 'populist' sentiment is fairly sensible and level-headed - contrary to, err, popular perception.

IMO Turnbull needs to go and a true Conservative put in charge....Turnbull will never win over the right wing which speaks to the parties base which is far from Liberal....My guess is Kevin Andrews might challenge???

Huh Huh Huh

leftie leaders can afford to be dithery emotional trainwrecks (rudd, gillard, beezley etc) because their voting block are dithery , overly emotional trainwrecks and they vibe with that.

but a conservative leader needs to be like trump, putin, deterte, thatcher, the guy from hungary,

conservative voters like bravery, masculinity, reverence, resilience and conscientousness because thats what they vibe with.

mal is not very brave, he is very unmasculine, he is soft, shakey, wishy woshy and weak.

as such he will be detroyed.

this is the natural order of things and nothing to be concerned about.

slowly people will come to see the perils of the weak leftie ideology and they will be drawn to rightie values.

china is converting to christianity faster then the romans
so is russia.
strong reverent, brave, resilient and influential...this will be the new conservatism which will roll over the weak leftie "wish fulfilment' politics and annihilate it.
