"Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals."

"A herbivore is an animal anatomically and physiologically adapted to eating plant material, for example foliage, for the main component of its diet."

I find it quite unbelievable that this needed to be explained to two grown men.

Wonders never cease.

Are you Dr Doolittle? Have you asked herbivores their philosophy?

Quit while you're behind, Set.

You're just making a fool of yourself now.

If you can split hairs, so can I. Vegans are herbivores, so are herbivores.

Why did you not post the link to where you got that from Greg? Is it because it goes on to contradict you?

Are you embarrassed at not knowing the difference between a vegan and a herbivore?

I'm curious.

So your difference is one has a philosophy that they can enunciate to you and the other may have one they can't?

If you think I'm being silly then we will move on to the belief in the "sentience" of animals that vegans have. You may call it anthropomorphism but vegans may well disagree.

Being herbivorous isn't a philosophy, Set.

You should have quit while you were miles behind.

I have never, at any time, said that humans are naturally vegans.

Why would I? - It's a ludicrous proposition.

Following FD down this path (of lies) has made you look the fool.

I doubt you'll be able to redeem yourself.

You've gone down far more ludicrous paths in your pedantry Greg.

All you have is that the difference between a man as a herbivore or a vegan is a state of mind, a philosophy, a belief. He is a "natural herbivore" but that, beyond the politics, is a vegan. If that is the case, and it takes a conscious effort to be a vegan, a philosophy, to be a herbivore/vegan, that is going against man's nature. If that is the case, man must be a natural omnivore.

As I've pointed out, our whole build is as a predator, you don't need this to eat grass. We can outrun any prey, our eyes are a predators eyes, our brain is a predators brain, we use that to make tools to down animals 100 times our size.

If you didn't get it, my point is we are not natural herbivores. We are hunters, predators. We may have evolved from grass nibblers but we are not that same creature now. We all(animals) evolved from the same source DNA, we are not all the same and we change.

Do you know the difference? What is it?

Why did you not post the link to where you got that definition of vegan from Greg? Is it because it goes on to contradict you?

Also, why are you afraid to say whether we are naturally vegan? Is is because you are unsure whether cheese is a vegetable?

Do you use your snout to dig up root vegetables?

I'm not sure who put that silly idea into your head.

Was it Set?

Or Donald Trump.

He doesn't seem to be that fussy.

Humans crave protein and the fastest way to get that is by eating meat.

Nope.

Milk and nuts, actually.

In order to get meat one must kill an animal, butcher it, and then cook the meat.

Nuts can be picked straight from the plant, and milk can be obtained straight from the cow/sheep/goat/whatever.

And, neither require cooking.

Much, much quicker.

Spot on.

Eggs can be eaten raw too, just like nuts.

Can't get a quicker dose of protein than that.

Nuts. Broccoli. Milk. Eggs. Peas. Lentils. Chickpeas. Beans. Wild rice.

All good sources of protein.
