Typical behaviour from the slimy, untrustworthy liberals. Australians are shocked at the actions by our cricketers cheating, just have a look at the snakes who call themselves liberals.

It really is like the cricket scandal, especially with the junior cricketer who knew what the seniors were doing but didn't report it.

Does one show loyalty to the team or to the game?

The 2 libs either were going to demonstrate they play politics fairly or show loyalty to the lib leadership group.

Is this similar to federal government when they lost control of the house when the labs faked going home by wandering around the airport?  Well, they weren't being paired whereas these 2 libs are.  So a stronger case of morals apply here.

This "winning at all cost" from the libs will end up costing them with voters who expect fairness.  The lib supporters will say they had to do what they did, but swinging voters will not like this at all.  Especially in victoria, sports capital of australia.

To be honest, i was wondering when someone will mention this.  After all, this occurred on easter friday which was a while a go.  Perhaps a lib supporter crowing how their party pulled a fast one over the lab government?  Or the lab supporters complaining how libs played unfairly?

Will this thread get moved to Victoria forum?

It is a disgrace. The mob with the born-to-rule mentality would do anything to disrupt parliament or gain an advantage. Blocking supply and abusing parliamentary conventions are just some of the unethical practices that are considered fair tactics in the Liberal party playbook. If their own parliamentary colleagues cannot trust them, how can the voters?

To listen to the trite trivial nonsense from the Lefties one would think that Labor never pulls stunts like this.

The Libs used a Labor style stunt so what's wrong with that ?

After all the rorts recently uncovered Vic Labor can hardly accuse anyone else.

In any case this farcical failed attempt at a post by Polly Waffle should be moved into the Vicotrian State stuff.

To give you an idea of just how much better Labor are at respecting Parliamentary conventions, consider this example. The Rudd government put legislation to establish an ETS to the Senate. It passed by one vote - but a Liberal MP was absent from the vote. The Rudd government did not accept this result because this did not reflect the will of the Senate, so they asked to vote again on the legislation which was defeated on a tied vote when the absent MP made it to the second vote.

Can you imagine the Liberals doing this? Nope, neither can I.

Labor don't pull stunts like this. That's the point. Labor have a much better record of conduct. Labor have never blocked supply to force an election. The Libs have, more than once.

If you disagree, link please.

It's not a "Labor style stunt", that's scurrilous nonsense. If you've got to ask "what's wrong with that", that's a sure sign that the Libs cannot be trusted.

Labor has every right to call out misconduct. Do the Libs shut up about other misconduct because they stole 1.4 million dollars of taxpayers' money? Do the Libs shut up because the Victorian state director stole 1.5 million dollars? Do the Libs shut up because the leader of the opposition was having lobster with mobsters? No they don't.

What's "Vicotrian"?

And if labor did lower themselves into the slimepit frequented by your liberal mates and pulled a stunt like this, you would be screaming from the rooftops. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
