If a Muslim member of Parliament faked using Islam to get excused from Parliament then showed up anyway to rig a vote - all hell would break loose. YOU WOULD NOT HEAR THE END OF IT.

The squalid deception by the Victorian Liberals on Good Friday, when they claimed pairs for two MPs who said their religious convictions would not allow them to attend, showed utter contempt for parliamentary democracy and for Christianity.

Typical behaviour from the slimy, untrustworthy liberals. Australians are shocked at the actions by our cricketers cheating, just have a look at the snakes who call themselves liberals.

Like many Victorians, I was aghast at this. It is a double insult: to democracy and parliamentary practice, and to the faith that the principle players claim to profess. To use Christianity to deceive Parliament is to insult all Christians and, much more importantly, God. What an elastic conscience these men must have.

It seems that, having arranged for pairs, they were then later ordered in to vote by the Liberal Party leaders. They should simply have refused. By acceding, they misled Parliament.
Perhaps they did not read what the Apostle Peter told the Jewish authorities in Jerusalem who ordered him to stop teaching about Jesus: “We must obey God rather than men.” How much more honourable it would have been for Finn and Ondarchie to say, “We gave our word to Parliament and must fulfil it”.
